Goodyear Eagle F1 Gsd3 235/40/18
dry: 10
wet: 10
over all: 10/10
these are the best tyres for a street car that sees an occasional race day.
My car is also used in hill climb type runs and these tyres wet or dry offer an amazing amount of grip.
Its not up to the poilce to prove on the spot that it is 100% illegal, they dont have to.
They only to have to a "reasonable beleif" that the modification is not safe to issue a defect.
it is then up to the owner to proove the modification ( inc tint) is legal.
Commonly people who have tinted windows do get the darkest legal tint but it is on top of the factory tint or glaze and this makes the light transferance illegal.
if you want to check it your self, Repco sell a light transferance metre which is used to measure the amount of light that comes througha tinted window or glass based surface.
Thanks guys for the responses and the information.
I am planning on taking my (hopefully) wife to be down there and i just need everything to go along smoothly.
Although it would be sorta funny running out of fuel and making her push...
Ok,
Firstly, take your $16 and go to the bank.
Get it changed into 5 cent coins.
Now, go into the toilet of your house.
One by one drop the coins in and flush.
That will sound better than those speakers ever would..
Hi.
Can someone who has been to Apollo Bay recently tell me if there are any petrol stations that sell premium unleaded, eg ultimate, mobil 8000 or something that is 98ron?
BP and mobil websites say jack s**t about it.
Thanks
Any REAL proffesional with a multi metre and other devices can figure out what does what.
If your installer does not know how to use basic test equipment to work on your car do not let him touch it. Take your car somewhere else and have someone with skill do it. Not some kid pretending to be a professional.
As for wiring diagrams. In australia, The REAL professional installers do not use them or supply that information over public forums to people.
How do we know that you are not a car thief looking for some info on how to knock off your first skyline...
BTW. My experience with car security in Australia is going 12 years or so now. So please, take what i say in a proffesional way.
the car would still be on the rta computers as a gtt with a turbo. So the cops could and most likely would dick you.
If you did change it you would need to have that engineered to say it was ok.
However doubt it would pass, as they could simply say " what stops you bolting it back on after you get the ok to drive it"
Just stick with a NA from factory
Thanks for that link.
I am still gonna agree with your first statement.
BULLS**T.
Total crap.
Rubbish.

Their website is one of the finest comedy pieces I have ever read.
Highlights are
Headunits that are 50RMS x 4..
6x9's that are 1000Watts
speakers with the word "giga" in the model number.
LMFAO...
Yes, this was done in a car.
The design brief for the car was not to be an SPL monster, but rather a good sounding street system. We were trying to keep the wank factor out of it.
In all the test we used the same amps.
The difference was incredible. It was like going from a pair of 6x9's off a headunit to a pair of 12's.
The only reason we needed to make sure it was loud and a little bass heavy is the car was to be used for display purposes for a manufacturer. potentially it would be at shows like auto salon etc, where things need to be a bit more bass heavy just to be noticed.
Yep, its bulsht.
A 350rms speaker off a 50 x 4 headunit would sound CRAP.
Please, tell us some brands here so we can really laugh our asses off...
I'm betting something VOX, or BlaSTer, Maybe even something Mega....
Went in with cash
Placed cash on dealers desk
.. asked for deal on car... got told "no deal".
Picked up cash and watched dealer quickly come to deal
Power in sales is priceless
1 - 700 watts - ha ha ha, thats funny.....
2 - go back to the store, get your $49.95 back
3 - save some money
4 - buy some decent 6" and an amp ( easier instal and will still sound sweet)
5 - add a sub and amp
6 - problem solved
In the testing we did, we had unlimited money. Unlimited new equipment if we blew something up and went through 17 different size and type sub boxes in 5 weeks.
All results showed that inverted subs provided less output than normal mounted subs.
Most of the results were that evident you could hear the effect even beofer seeing the metre.
I guess that's why the worlds loudest spl cars dont invert their subs. They loose total volume output.
