  5. i played in mud puddles as a kid, dropped my food on the floor and picked it up and ate it....we never used anticeptic or washed our hands before eating (coz if you did you got to the table and there wasnt any food left )....i reckon i could eat from one of those cholera carts or typhoid trolleys in s/e asia and not feel it

  8. i have a modded lpg bbq bottle that i fill with oil, pump up with air and screw into the oil pressure sender hole on the block then fill the reassembled engine with oil that way...i also tun the ignition on and ensure the light/gauge registers....its a good way of checking for oil leaks and making sure the top end ect is getting oil...i do it with the cam covers off

  11. i bought those hks step 2 valve springs and stupidly did not pressure test them......car felt a little fluffy but kept on trucking for about a year then took the head off, removed the valves and it looked like they had been floating....put them on a pressure tester and they were shite!!!!!!got some random ones from austral and whammo.....all good
  12. ive owned my car since mid 2000 and id like to say thanks to the parking attendant at crown casino that sent me through a red light after declining my entry to the car park (the entrance is located between a massize intersection so the red light was behind me)sending me head on into a mercedes back in around 2003-2004,id like to also say thanks to the cab driver that had the same thing happen to him while the cops were there, thanks to the police officer for seeing it was the parking attendants fault, thanks to the bank for the issue of a gold rated credit card to be able to fix the car back then, thanks again to the attendant for giving me 8 months of hard labour stripping the car to bare shell, removing the firewall, chasis rails, full respray and all the crap that goes along with it....oh and thanks to all the mates that made themselves scarce during the job
  13. its very easy to put back on....you assemble the assy in the bellhousing prior to connecting it to the engine....then you activate the circlip in the thrust bearing by pushing the clutch arm toward the clutch then the circlip snaps in the pressure plate
  14. ive bought flood damaged cars before, ive done long rears, full fronts, bulkheads chassis rails turrets the lot.....i dont need an insurance company, klms on a dash cluster, bullshit racv inspections, roadworthies or registrys office reports to tell me that a car is good or bad.....its no big deal mate...take it for what it is
  15. most likely the coils.....do you have a power fc?
  16. i say big deal.....if it had of been an insurance claim and the job just scraped in and got repaired then the guy sold the car its the same thing.....hundreds if not thousands of cars running around that have had long rears, chassis rails, turrets or hinge pillars changed....

bris get richo to ask his mate morrie to hook you up with a neat setup
  23. Main bearings dont have anything to do with misfiring on one cylinder.......i assume you mean the rod end bearings,if so then you would know about it if its done a rod end bearing.....it would be knocking its tits off....
  24. did you localise it to a certain cylinder using the method i told you to?Its really not rocket science man....let it idle pull each coil connector off until you find the one that doesnt make the car misfire anymore than it already does and there is your culprit......you need to pin point the cylinder thats misbehaving first then we can give you an indication on what to check next
  25. oh i also got all the bright work done....a true work of art done by western metal polishing in sunshine. They bumped the few small dings out of the bars and stainless trims, copper plated the bars/doorhandles then double chromed them and polished the moulds....they look like mercury....they did an amazing job....will post some pics up
