  6. no great drama...you would need the control unit/activation module as adz posted...its just wiring from there on...i have been right through the 34 wiring and the schematics for this is quite simple

Im glad you asked....i actually have one that i transplated an EVO engine into...i ended up cutting the rear floor pan out of the evo and started to stitch it into the FTO...i used the DE2A model(4 cylinder 4G15 powered version)...its still sitting in my freinds garage in japan...i just may finish it one day

  9. just on a side note.....if you dont change your idler bearings when you do a cam belt your crazy....even if you think they look ok... for what its worth they should be changed

    Gtr Gearbox?

    its my understanding that the clutch will play a part to the life of a gearbox...eg an unsprug clutch will "shock" the gearbox where as a sprug one will dampen the drive

  16. oh and i would strongly disagree with the coverage comment....COB covers shithouse...i always use colour build primer and put a ground coat down for metallic's...altho my main traffic these days is motorcycle colours which this is mandatory as they are candie's and translucent colours....big headache!
  17. do they still make acrylic? as far as aquabase goes there is nothing special with it as all it is is the base coat thats waterbase....its been out for quite some time and there was lots of hype when it first came out ...but its really not that great....same booth and equipment/drying times ect...and i think you guys will find that 1lt of COB basecoat wouldnt be that far off the cost of acrylic anyway....its just that with acrylic you put acrylic clear over it and COB basecoat requires 2K and thats where the cost diffrence will be....and just to clarify for those that dont know....all mettalic colours require clear....acrylic or COB Base coat
  18. ahh yes the ecu pulls the ignition/injectors away at about 2k if it see's the throttle closed via the tps and you get a savage hunt...so the problem would be in the butterfly mech somewhere i would think....do you have the standard ecu/wiring?

I am a little confused here.....there is a few reasons why 2 pack paint is better 1 is its life span... and 2 and probably the most important one for us guys driving the spray gun is the way it comes off the gun....as long as you use the tools correctly and have a clean booth you can get it to go on as flat as a shit carter's hat no rubbing and buffing/cutting needed.....
  20. i say also check your bac valve.....i have had some cars that do a similar thing but not to the extent of 9000rpms....also to kill the engine i say pull out an efi relay or yank off the crank angle sensor wire.....i cant see hydraulic lock from pulling out spark as unburnt fuel will just be forced out the exhaust valve on exhaust stroke....
  21. hi nismo 400....it makes absolutely no diffrence what brand you use as to wether the colour is right as a good painter will adjust the colour anyway....i say this as there would most likely have been old repairs on the car or the paint could be faded aged ect.....therefore the colour would need to be tuned up....and just for the recod...the factory use a hi bake system were as all panel shops use low bake....hi bake paint will not cure unless used in a hi bake set up

    R32 Gtr Crash

    anyone see the bashed up R32 GTR on the kingsway entrance heading west at about 10.30pm?It was a ripper stoved in the front kinked the roof then spun and pushed the bum in.....spoke to the driver who i knew from the auto trade....i am tipping this one wont be getting fixed...he killed the car.....it was even better than my incident ......hats off to the poor bugger....he is lucky he got out ok
