  7. 34's rust around the stop light in the bootlid so check for that....look for tape off's around the door apature,window moulds and boot apature for history on refinishing....also look for jaw marks on the sill/floorpan lap join for any history of the car being pulled about on a pulling rack or bench.Check door aparture to inner panel for original spot welds(you will need to slide up the pinch weld to check that)also check the radiator support panel/back panel for original spotwelds and might as well have a good look at the chassis rails/floor for any signs of meddleing...all this stuff is very easy to check without the need of any tools....i have looked at many cars for people checking all these things and within 5 minutes tell wether to look further or to walk....usually the latter!Goodluck!

  14. I'm no guru on GTS autos but the ecu runs the trans.....so if you have a 32 with a 33 trans....they are most likely diffrent and its taking off in a higher gear or something to that effect

  16. 1.I would be using a diffrent mechanic...i mean what type of fool test drives a car when its visually leaking oil/water 2.i would be buying my cars off a diffrent person you wouldnt happen to be in melbourne and live in the western suburbs would you? I have a sneaking suspicion that i have met you....the R32 with he rattly bottom and and the uncle from japan thing rings a bell
  17. i have my money on igniter.....heres what you do to check......run it until it does it...then pull over and let it idle and pull each injector plug off untill you find the dead cylinder....then change the dead cylinders coil with a good cylinders one.....repeat the test again and if it happens again on the same cylinder...its the igniter.....the ecu can also cause this but i reckon the igniter is crook

  22. ummmm whats wrong with doing it at home?????No special tools are required for this job......just a spot weld drill bit and a mig welder

  24. buy the rail section from nissan direct i think there about $200 from memory unspot it and weld the new one on.....no big deal...i have done heaps of them.....secondly....WTF is a "rocker panel" Underneath vehicles there is 2 sill panels,floor pan and chassis rails....thats all to my knowledge
