All, 1) I have a rego cat back exhaust for sale. I requested it to be custom made (by City Custom Exhaust in braddon) to "hug" the underbody of the 33 as much as possible (as I needed to gain ground clearance for my defect (and be quiet)). It's as quiet as a mouse, and will give any low car extra clearance for passing rego. $90 ono 2) I have a stock R33 S2 intercooler which came off my late 97 liner. $40 Email me at [email protected] if interested. cheers. need to sell this stuff ASAP. I agree man, it sucks ass, they just want to try and ping absolutely anything and everything they can on you. I suppose so they can say they're doing their job. I am happy to take the hit for the dark tint, but the battery is absolutely rubbish, maybe I should speak to my engineer about it. Its obvious that law enforcement officials hate import cars, full stop. I was coming back from inspection today and had a cop sitting next to me (on northbourne, 3 lane road) and the passenger cop was just staring at my car, looking for things to ping on me. Obviously I wasnt worried having a defect slip in my hand and just coming back from inspection nearly full stockish. But what pissed me off was that about 30 metres in front of my car (and the cops) there was a commodore (bout 2001) with half of his perspex number plate snapped off, like the first half of it was gone! They didnt even notice that, which I see as a definite pull over froma cops perspective, however they just kept lookin at the liner. grr my rant over too. JD

well, took my car in today with the eng cert and they let all the engineered stuff pass, but still hit me on rear tint (mine was 4%, and they only allow 35%), and the rear battery (in any car) now has to be a gel cell and NOT an Acid one, grrrrr (damn technology). so 2 more things then im through

yep thats correct. the engineer will certify them as long as you meet under car ground clearance. took mine in today with eng cert and they let them pass, along with my FMIC, and other bits and pieces. cheers.

all good now, the BOV finally arrived at like 430pm on Friday.. cheers for the offer anyway

that would be sweet Mick, I have ordered one in the mail (off the forums) and paid for it last Saturday. Was suppose to be sent by express post but still nothing in the mail.. If it doesnt arive by COB today (Friday) I will need to borrow it on the weekend to have it on the car by Monday arvo. If I need it ill PM ya.. just to input my 2c .. went to autoTint in Fyshwick today, and they refused to do my car as they do not pull tint off. They only put it on. So if your after tint to be removed as well as put on, dont go to them.

haha no worries guys, cheers for all the info so far i have removed MBC, BOV (tomorrow), and low hanging exhaust,, plus am getting an engineers cert for the coilovers , Icooler , shift light, boost guage, turbo timer, pod and wheels. After I get the cert, I head in. Fingers crossed they dont seem to find something little and unexpected like bushes or some steering things.. other than that, I should pass as I will have nothing illegal on my car.. what a big pain in the ass this is,, not to mention the dead $'s ps: where is an EPA test normally done ? and whats involved? (in terms of FMIC)

hey johnny rocket, if we want some Canberra scenery in the banner, I rckn a pic from the top of mt Ainslee down to the lake/city/carillion/oph/war memorial might look ok. Probably one of the best shots of Canberra you can take. It would look good either early early morning, or late in the arvo when the sun starts to skim of the lakes water. But you would defn want the water jet on at the time of the pic just a thought if Canberra scenery is to be included.
