agreed. once we were on the same amount of posts i just check and now lookin ova 5000 hahahah wish i could kill time on sau while getting paid for it at work
had the day off after 14 days on and re regestered the skyline took her out, parked next to a silver 32 under myer city carpark. saw a white 33 on grandjunction rd give a bit of rb love
i lol'd ill be hard pressed to keep my oil temps under 150 once i start to boogey tooke the baby up ansties before just to make sure everything was alright.. it hasnt been "driven" in a few months and she pulled up beautifully.. so far how many sau crew will be there?? will be good to meet a few more of the track goers
my new daily driver, this morning got up early painted wheels black, detailed inside and out, cleaned mass amounts of diesel resadue from tray then runst converted tray. WOO HOO its gutless but im certainly happe with it
WOO HOO. nearly got my 1996 hilux tray top 2.8 d should be good to go by tonight, on the way back i got pulled over by the police in the skyline.. was rather pleasant.. they gave me a formal warning for my p plate having fallen down and then i continued to have a chat with the other officer about the car.. we had a bit of a chat about sau and he proceeded to say something along the lines its good to see clubs doing something constructive rather than some of the "commodore" clubs around. asked about my semi slicks and things like that but generally a nice run in with the officers. + 1 to holden hill po po
some say imports are targeted by police, i suspect not.
cheers matty, guy i work with has told me all the same he has a GQ shorty bolted a turbo on and its very very nice. block has fittings for turbo oil lines.. haha definatly not going petrol.. want something really reliable and apparently the 4.2 diesel is bullet proofe but yes doin the left eventually and the micky thompsons.. wanna nice sterio in it aswell considering ill be driving it everywhere.
was considering the petrol hilux, 1j thing but hiluxes are too expensive for my budget
possibly, depends on the future path of the R.
moreso want to get back into having fun goin slow... = 4wd and mad scrub. wanna start heading up north again.. good cheap fun.
want a less lairy daily driver aswell (althought depends on the lift and tires oh and what turbo, turbo diesel ftw)... the vl will cost a fair bit to get up to spec again
as i said just trade for twin turbos fair trade
got the day off went to the bank this morning and looking good to get a loan..... looking at getting rid of the vlt wagon and getting a GQ patrol. 4.2 diesel preferably short wheel base. anyone know of any for sale atm?
hey mate ive just bought my first set of semi slicks, bridgestone re55's the grip when cold but dont shine till warm so this may be a downfall for you.. all in all they are a great tire altho i have no idea how they would go on gravel
c'mon matei dont think treating me like a child is neccessary.. i was asking a serious on topic question and yes i let my car warm and cool accordingly often withought using timer.. neway this is getting off topic
your assumption is a little infair... (edit) i have oil cooled turbos... hence my common sence tells me that when the turbos are hot if not let to cool down the oil will boil and harden in the lines?
agreed, thanks to all involved.
i few small questions on mods. my obvious mods are a hard piping kit... would this be considered and illeagal defect or a quality modification due to keeping pipe diameters the same and not having rubber that can collapse? better discs and pads. illeagle modification? semi slicks, illeagle modification?
upgraded fuel system with no in car tanks performed proffessionally?
why are turbo timers illeagle? alot of diesels and trucks have them standard
thanks again too all who are giving input
ok sale fell through and parts up for sale again:
900 ono the lot. not in as much urgency to sell as before
r32 gtr turbos (very good condition) plus water and oil lines

thanks troy some awesome photos there! your camera certainly takes a clear shot. if it would be possible to get the dvd with all pics that would be great just let me know how much
i tihnk we all know that wine red track orientated gtr was the nicest there
congrats and thanks cara for the effort u put in and thanks to everyone else involved!
hahah i have the funniest mental picture of u after 1:30 doin the lone ranger with a look of determination on your face absolutely hammering it
glad u got to spin and glad u got to get her sideways.. wonderful way to learn your car. she certainly has the suspension to do some intense handling.
chad andrew and dale, best of luck tomorrow and anyone else going. andrew how u gonna run above 1:20 u may get a warning or two. dale gave me a bit of a rundown with the porsche thing...... sounds pretty intense.. be sure to get a few vids. cheers for keeping us in the loop dale! financials just couldnt cut the extra money to run sunday.
she looks so ready for track work
chad noooo! nice cool night tongiht got the car back with all its glory did some changes and took it for a boost. had crimmo keepin an eye on the hand controller.. 4wd was playing up but holy hell did it handle amazingly.. semi's were scraping on the rear guards a little bit
spotted d stirl just outta town... was in the truck, gave a shout and a wave! he looked lost. spotted andrew (nightcrawler) about an hour ago just near holden hill police station.. was in the patrol shorty with muddies.
