Reo yes you'll get done if they know what they are looking for, the BOV, and the uncovered pod yes intercooler and bc no afc if they know what it is yes, IF you get defected you have to go through DOT to get it cleared, let me start ummmm 225 for defective vehicle, 75 for driving defective vehicle 1 point off the licence $80.00 booking fee for the DOT, and the cost to fix whats defective. oh plus the rules have changed slightly, if you get caught with the same shyt, impoundment may be possible. the fine amounts were true as of 2 years ago when i got done. im sure the budget is bit blown for the brakes side of things, decent set of slotted and good pads ebc red or better out there will set up at bout 1100 MAX unless your doing track work maybe 2g is not under estimated, oh the dif it can handle that power and been proven too, ill agree with the 8g rebuild as an average depending what parts and who you get it done by 15g is around the usual expectancy price to be looking at, not including all the little things that happen along the way. Could agree more with do it slowly, and work your way up to it, oh and anything on or over 300rwkws is a bit overkill for the street, im sitting now on 265 rwkw and its plenty to live with and be happy with. oh runnining total so far is 11.5g mind you turbo setup alone was just short of 3.5 and rebuild short of 6 so gives you an idea Cheers

hmmm you could always do WMI? at the end of the day it will also come down to how you drive it how it is tuned, but still the shelf life of stock bottom end is shortened as explained by nismoid. its a gamble at most, and would never as such hurt to do a compression or leakdown along the way to check on things. There was a few examples of people pushing to see how much it will take to break, and there are a few examples of people with stock ends as well at that power. But i guess safety sake, always atleast have that budget for the "Just in case" if you are willing to take the chance. You might be lucky you might not.
