  1. Would you stay away from tiptronic? I don't see the point in a manual
  2. Hi Everyone, I've decided to get back into skylines, I'm thinking V35 coupe. As I'm only familiar with RB's, is there any advice you can give me? It sounds like they're a VERY good car.
  3. Arggh, ok. That sucks, I hope it's not single spinner.
  4. I have an R34 GT.. Is it LSD? Does it have any traction control etc? It drifts well but feels like a single spinner
  5. Hey all, I just bought a black R34 GTS sedan and am looking to get a nice kit for it, apparently side skirts are difficult to get hold of for a 4 door but that's not my concern.. I'm just curious as to how much it would cost to get a full kit (supply, install and painted). Cheers, Tim
  6. I just bought an R34 GT25 (non turbo) for 17,000. Just quickly, how much power do you reckon it has (auto).
  7. Well anywayz, I just got a quote for R34 GTT Auto insurance $2,500
  8. Yeah mine will be kept in my garage with rollerdoor, I'll prob drive my 31 to work everyday so it won't be left in a carpark mon to fri.
  9. Ok Ok, I HAVE thought about insurance and rego and shit, calm down. I think at this point I will be going with an NA 4door Auto. Sorry but I'd rather that over a 33 regardless of how hard and fast they go. I've always loved the dominant look of the 34.
  10. Yeah.. well I'm 18 now, My B-day was on the 11th Anywayz.. I don't really see how having a RWD turbo car can keep you outta trouble but an AWD turbo 34 will get you killed or lose your liscence or both I KNOW they are fast but unless you are really really stupid..you will adapt to the car before it has time to end your life. My car now is f*cken quick btw.
  11. Unfortunately I only have 20k to play with. I've heard the R34's are great in manual but I'd love a tiptronic too, so really, I don't mind auto. A 4 door is fine too (except i hear getting side skirts is difficult). Do you think I can get a 4 door auto turbo for 20,000? It needs to be in fairly good condition.
  12. Yeah I've seriously thought about it, although my current car is pretty quick... Maybe I shouldn't go turbo, but then again. Argh! Its all outta my money btw and of course i'll be getting insurance (I think my parents will chip in here and there too). I thought about getting AM rev limiters and all that shit, I kinda have a lead foot and I KNOW petrol will be a bitch!
  13. Approx how much would I be forking out each year to insure an R34 GTT. I'm 17 (on my P's) and havn't had a crash/claim. Also registration.. How much do you think it will cost to keep a turbo 34 on the road.
  14. My folks told me about a service the RAC offers; a complete inspection on any vehicle before purchase, maybe I should do that in the car yards to avoid getting a bad deal.
  15. But It's triptronic, sure it doesn't have the starting line advantage but what about the clutchless shifting..
  16. What's wrong with an auto sedan (it would be triptronic anyway?). I don't mind paying far less for granny transmission.
  17. No worries, thanks for that. So do any of you know much about the R34's? Whether to go triptronic or manual, turbo or non-turbo, AWD or RWD, 4 door or 2 door etc etc..??
  18. I've seen ads in the Autotrader for R34's selling at $21,000 - $25,000... What I'm more concerned about is the condition of the car, how to pick if it's still 'good to go', things like AWD over rear wheel drive and turbo or non-turbo and all that other sh*t.
  19. Hi all, I'm new to this forum but have been a part of r31skylineclub.com for a while now.. I have a nice loan under my belt to the tune of $20,000 and am looking at buying an R34 GTT. I know a fair bit about 31's, 32's and 33's but the 34 is fairly foreign to me. Could any of you tell me what I should look for in an R34 and where to go for a good deal (I'm in WA). Tim.
