  1. its 100% genuine, its not REALLY loud, im probably being a bit pedantic but i might check the rubber boot though just incase.
  2. Please please not all at once, i found my answer anyway... to whom it may concern, this 'loudness' is normal after installing a SS.
  3. Sorry if this has been covered... Is it normal for your gearbox to be noisy after you install a C's Short Stroke Shifter? Just installed in today, but now the gearbox is louder? Any advice!?
  4. anyone got dimensions on the afc neo and the safcII?
  5. maybe you have a spacer??
  6. If its just going to sit there and be inactive, disconnect the battery, but preferbly get someone to start it a let in run a few times a week.
  7. 1) Reasonbly happy with the power, just want to improve the other things i have mentioned 2) Everyday use. 3) All of the above, reliability and response & performance mainly though. 4) No expense spared really, i dont like taking shortcuts. Is there any thing other than what i have mentioned in this thread i could do to improve perfrormance besides boosting?
  8. Preferbly new, im in MELB.
  9. i realise a turbo back exhaust has already 'boosted' the turbo because its less restrictive, but what i was trying to say is that i wouldnt go any further. i think i pretty much have said what i want to acheive, if your still confused, i dont know what else i could say. Basically mechanics and other drivers with the afc and pfc have said in relation to my car, a pfc is over doing it, but they think i should get it INCASE i choose to futher modify the engine
  10. Liz - what split pipe did you have?? what was wrong?
  11. thanks for the comparison of the 2 afc tuyen, any major differences, pros and cons of the 2 items?? how much did you pick up the neo for? btw forgot to mention i have a high flow cat....i know that problaly doesnt make a dif..
  12. i know when everybody gets there first 'line (ive had mine for 3 months) they say there "happy just the way it is", and then a few weeks later they start modding flat out, but im genuinly happy the way it is, but a 'smoother power delivery' is spot on in what i want to acheive, also with a little gain in power. its a bit laggy, gets about 400km to the tank and i think the piggy back or pfc will help with these issues. true? I got 170rwkw with the current mods by the way.
  13. Akeenan - dont want to turn up the boost because im pretty happy the way everything is at the moment. My thoughts are basically; the more boost, the more problems. I think a PFC or SAFC would give it the little extra performance, mixture, fuel consumption etc... Steve - Be sure to let me know how you go with the PFC, what changes/differences you feel Dop3y - What kind of results did the car get? higher Kw?
  14. ive been getting a mixed response, even from workshops....hence my confusion...
  15. Didnt get much back from another post.....need some advice All the mods i have (and plan to keep it that way) on my car are a Apexi pod with cold air intake and full 3" Blitz exhaust with slpit dump/front pipe. i want to extract the best performance out of what i have as i dont plan to boost it. Would a Apexi AFC Neo do the job, or should a just go for the Power FC? Not sure because i only have minor mods, and most people who buy the PFC have boost, fmic etc.... Any feeback and opinions are appreciated.

  17. JustJap.com have a few of them, but there based in sydney...
  18. Theres not much you can do with the standard box. maybe if you have a FMIC, you can use the holes from the standard SMIC to run a pipe directly into the box. I have a GTT with the standard SMIC and hav a pod with custom box that uses the standard snorkel. looks good and is more effective because pod is not as restrictive as panel filter.
  19. PM Maxx, I think thats who your talking about Michael. Does i nice job.
  20. PM bigsully84, he will hook you up with the R34 GTT Clear Side Indicators. I think he may be in QLD too, but not sure.
  21. 1 - SSV in Oakleigh, give them go, they look after you before and after the sale 2 - i use it as an everyday car and its excellent 3 - later model 34 GTT's came in bayside blue, if you find one in good condition, i'd grab it straight away. 4 - negative attention (stereotyped) 5 - see above 6 - not sure about that...but i ended up with one 7 - my advice, buy it completely standard.
  22. are you in melbourne? any chance for inspection?
  23. very nice bar, but the side skirts may need to be changed because they sit a lot higher, depending on how it looks if you lower it.
