    4inch in/out metal cat with 5inch body also if you got the 3.5 i cant see it making any restriction as you said your runing a split dump/front.. so you've obviously got a largish low mount.. 3inch flows plenty unless your making more than 450-500hp at the treads.. i cant see the smaller one being any restriction

    try shifting 2nd to 3rd earlier than see how that goes reving 3rd out say.. shift from 2nd to 3rd at 6500rpm than rev 3rd out and see were your changing into 4th

    thinner is definately harder thickest ive worked with is around 30mm bizalloy thinnst would probaly be .6 mildsteel
