  2. suprisingly my exhaust is extremely quiet all it consists of is a single jun muffler and a 4inch in/out metal cat
  3. made myself and i currently dont have anymore pics of it.. and to those who have sent me pm's asking questions sorry i cant reply my computer is playing up the twin 3 into single 4 collector was simply 2 bits of 3 cut on large angle tacked together squashed 4inch pipe to an oval slid the 3inch inside marked how far back it had to be cut so it was a smoothish join and than welded together.. i wouldnt mind redoing that part of the exhaust as i wasnt entirly happy with it but meh.. it was thrown together quickly enough im not to fussed anymore as it does the job
  4. thicker material is always easier to weld in my opinion and looks like just a single 8mm fillet he's doin there

  10. oh yer.. im turbo'n a barina from scratch soon hopefully i remember to get photos of everything as i go and yes.. im making everything turbo mani dump pipe full exhaust and all ic piping.. more than likely customize the end tanks on which ever cooler we use

  12. im a boilermaker apprentice and i have my own tig welder at home.. have made all my own ic piping and exhaust work including 3inch dumps(bellmouth style) to suit stock gtr turbos have also done a mates ic piping heres a few pics twin 3inch into single 4inch front pipe and 4inch cat (5inch body metalcat) Rear dump pipe fitted in car.. tight fit but its in there my complete exhaust system from underneath twin 3inch into single 4 before cat and 4inch all the way back to jun muffler darkish photo of my intake pipes and ic piping (hotside) my mate Andrews R32 gtst fmic piping which i made

  14. i was goin to say run a JUN spiral 3.5 on your car.. i run twin 3inch dumps into single 4 all the way back to the jun 3.5 muffler and its dead quiet and sounds awesome oh i also run a metal cat 5inch body 4inch in and out

  16. chances of running a rb30det using a over the top plenum isnt goin to happen.. i have a rb26 in mine with modified rb20 mounts and i only just have about 5mm of clearance.. and mine sits as low as i could get it to go
  17. its not that harder job i had my turbo's and manifolds and everything off with the help of a good mate in 1.5/2 hours mind you im extremely mechanicaly minded and he is a very good mechanic lol

  19. thank f**k mine appears to be.. so when peoples turbos have gone have they noticed and backed off or kept into it with out relising instantly(relised after 10 or so seconds)?

  21. Engine/Car: S13 silvia with a R32 Rb26dett (supposely only mid 40k on its life Type of failure: rear turbo spat the exhaust wheel Factors influencing the failure: skids... (well didnt even get to do a good one.. blew before i even got started) State of tune of the engine: stock computer stock turbos stock everything bar exhaust fmic and pods and 10psi (actuator pressure) Suspension and tyres: KYB struts n springs Oil used and service interval: fuchs 10-30w had only done about 700k's since last service General comments: engine still comp tested well 165psi even across all 6.. car got turned off the towed straight home after wards
  22. wat just wondering how the compression test went on that one after the turbo blew.. i blew my rear turbo and managed to maintain a even 165 or 175psi across all of them (cant remember which but it was exactly the same across all 6)
  23. no wonder i do all my own work except for the tuning thats well overpriced oh yer and the power shouldnt drop off like that specialy with the larger ex housing
