  1. it does make a difference.. regardless if the stock rubber hose isnt sucking closed completely.. it still flexes each time you boost it with the sucking pressure of the turbo.. recently made solid intake pipe for a mates r32 gtst.. noticebly difference in driveability
  2. i'd change that rubber to a solid item anyway just for piece of mind and incase that rubber one does want to suck shut.. always better to have solid pipe instead of rubber pipe

  4. doesnt matter which one you buy.. if your only goin to be putting a rb20 gearbox into how ever if your goin a rb25 gearbox be better to buy a auto silvia are 'suppose' to be bigger how ever i havent been able to notice a difference in size between the manual tunnel and auto tunnel side by side seeing as my so called auto tunnel still needed a big of modifyn to fit the rb25 gearbox just simply buy a r32 gtst front cut the cross member between gts4 and gtst would be different due to 4wd setup and wat not its not an overly hard conversion to do buy yourself how ever find someone who knows the wiring for these cars as ive run into a problem with wat i would call a underskilled workshop i guess you could say my old rb20 ran just a stock computer and all i had was a custom 3inch turbo back exhaust along with a rb25 turbo (series 1 r33) and it went quite well for a year or so untill i blew a headgasket(i think thats wat went wrong i just pulled it out and stuck it in a corner)
  5. rb20 gearbox = light as not a problem to lift (about same as a sr box) rb25 gearbox = can be lifted by one person.. best for 2 people to do so as im 6ft n 110ish kg and i struggled to carry it a distance but how ever did so gtr box = couldnt tell ya never had to lift one
  6. do front mount than fuel pump (can do fuel pump than front mount if you'd like) how ever if your goin the power fc and gtrs, do fmic and fuel pump than after that i'd suggest just buying the kit for the injectors pfc and gtrs straight from nengun and installing at the same time and adding a z32 afm just before you get your tune done i havent got any complaints about these turbo's.. the r33 gtst ive come across running one of these is absolutely awesome spools up super fast and still carrys thru with decent topend how ever i did see one of these on a s15 and it was pure crap but somehow i think it had an awful lot to do with the tuning so still cant really say anything bad about these turbo's

  8. with that sort of monstor setup maybe a T51r SPL they have the ability to make 800+hp.. if not i'd go something along the lines of twin t04z's or the vielside GT35/40's which is wat GTR700 runs from memory and well there running mid 8's? but than again.. i'd love to see some pictures of this car.. otherwise we have very talented school kid? so im on thizzles side for now also i'd like to see this pulsar.. aswell

  11. 4 grand for an exhaust system.. haha maybe i should charge people more than wat i do... either way 4inch mandrel bends = 50 bux each retail is 75 bux from memory? 3 meters of 4inch stainless = i cant member thinking 200 to 250 4inch straight thru cannon = 300 bux (magnaflow i think it is that made mine) 5inch body'd cat 4inch in and out = 300? i think flanges cost i think 15-20 bux each.. cant remember so.. roughly 1150 for all materials needed add another 300 for a flat 4inch straight thru muffler for under the car if ya want the 2 mufflers.. than prolly 350-400 to tig weld together and mount.. not all that expensive for a custom 4inch cat back including cat if ya ask me.. making a cat back for a car takes f*ck all time.. longest part of it all would be welding it all if ya ask me..

  13. i'd be keen to take it off your hands but i havent finished rb26dett into s13 conversion yet.. otherwise i'd prolly offer that as a swap how ever its not finished and i'd like to drive it around for a while before getting rid of it.. extremely nice gtr mate good luck with the sale i cant believe this thing is now 22k

  15. i wouldnt suggest bolting a rb20 head straight onto a rb30 bottom end i know a guy that did it.. using a old r31 skyline with its stock rb30 and auto.. simply bolted the rb20 head on ran all the rb20 stuff.. comp ratio worked out to be somewat around 11:1 which is well way to bloody high for a turbo motor and well.. it did pull a good skid.. full boost very very very early(stock rb20 turbo) and a couple months later it went bang not sure wat broke but yer it was sold to some young bloke before it died and died abou 2 months after the bloke bought it you would be better off sourcing a rb25de head and doin everything gtst has said in above post
  16. love the intercooler piping on the rb20 i made a very similar setup for my mates r32 out of stainless yes conversions are fun.. im in the process of wiring the rb26 into the s13 at the moment.. absolutely great fun
  17. i'd assume 180-190kph.. the standard rb25 gears arent that long are they? 220 at 5500 in 5th.. hmm that doesnt sound right :\
  18. yes the rb25 turbo does still have ceramic bits how ever its a much smoother power band.. instead of snapping onto boost comes on nice and easy
  19. if your chasing 1000hp.. wat about a T51r spl? i'd imagine on a extremely strong 3litre would be insane or if you really have gone that insane wat about a setup like GTR700 HKS 58mm external GT-Pro spec wastegates (x2) VeilSide/GT exhaust manifolds (x2), split as 2 banks of 3 cylinders, each feeding one turbocharger and an external wastegate VeilSide/SPL GT-3540 turbo chargers (x2) with uprated customised GT-42 compressor wheels and compressor/exhaust housings

  21. i know this is irrelevent but ive got twin 3inch dump ppipes coming off the stock low mount rb26 turbos and i have no issues wat so ever clearing the steering parts?
