  1. we use and recommend Bridgestone RE55 tyres for serious circuit machines. lots of grip and durability, a set of these usually last about 10 months or about 160 laps.
  2. just a tip, probably would have been better to get some opinions BEFORE you bought your tyres.
  3. my suggestion would be to re-lock out your hicas and get your power steering problem sorted
  4. you can get Apexi pod filters that bolt straight up to the R33 AFM and we do them for $90 each.
  5. check the link below for a comprehensive air filter comparison test: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/index.html
  6. yes have 4 in stock, only one problem, they are all the same rotation direction. this is only a problem in the wet though, not the dry.
  7. no need to look overseas guys, I will have these tyres available in Australia within the next couple of months!! Prices will be the same as our RE55 prices shown on our web site here: http://www.amecautocare.com.au/bridgestonetyres.htm Cheers
  8. IMO RE55s are the best street legal semi slicks available in terms of both grip and longevity. for reference to tyre widths, when I went from 255s to 285s on the rear, I gained 0.75 seconds around the QR sprint circuit. now I have 305 full slicks on the way, THAT will be interesting
  9. are there any designs for the track layout?
  10. depends on the track. up here at Queensland Raceway sprint days, you can purchase a 1 year license for $55 and you're away. all you need is a helmet, long sleeve top and pants and shoes. fire extinguisher is only necessary for cams events. most cars already have a 2 bonnet fastener system. you know when you pop the boot? thats fastener 1. when you release the catch, thats fastener 2. in Melbourne you will probably need to get a cams LS2 license to do sprint days. the form is downloadable from the cams website. hope that helps.
  11. buy a new pair.

  13. just does what it says it does, allows you to go past 180 km/h. on the track only of course!
  14. no. no-one knows any cheaper. you have somehow managed to score the cheapest deal in Australia. so go and buy them at that ridiculously low price.
  15. I am now setting a DEADLINE of Friday 8th June for people to send me their payments for these gauges. If I don't receive 30 payments by the deadline then I will cancel this group buy and refund the money to those who have already paid.
  16. thanks, sorry to hear about your bad luck though.
  17. This is a dream job for a high performance car enthusiast!! However you must be a qualified mechanic, have your own tools, have an easy going attitude and have a love for fast cars of course! You must also be honest, strive for a high quality of workmanship, have a real desire to provide the best service and to make our customers happy. We offer an attractive pay packet + bonuses. send me a pm or phone me or whatever method takes your fancy.
  18. guess we will just have to suck it and see. now that the calibration is out of the way, I will get some design pics posted here in the next few days.
  19. well our local instrument shop who is very good had the cluster for a couple of weeks but couldnt find a practical / inexpensive solution to the problem. I guess the way to go if we want to get this happening would be to leave it up to the individual to organise their own calibration with their local instrument shop? what do you think?
  20. I have a spare R32 GTST cluster here that I can send down. What the instrument guy would need to do would be to recalibrate the ratio so that at the current 180 km/h mark, the speed reading is 300 km/h (or 320 whichever is easier) and then I would get the speedometer face designed accordingly. send me a PM if you are able to arrange this for us and I will send you the cluster.
  21. let us know about the ratio box, what maximum speed is the ratio box designed for? that will determine the max speed on the speedometer for this kit.
  22. thanks guys, getting to 300 km/h, slowly thats 8 people paid now, 22 to go.
  23. 6 people now paid, 24 to go.
  24. CALIBRATION: the R32 being a mechanical speedometer drive, an additional unit will be required to be purchased to change the ratio of the needle movement. The unit will cost something like $150.
  25. I'll get an update on Monday.
