  1. your other alternative is to get something like a Knock Link LED det display unit, which BTW we can get for you I have one in the race car, the LEDs usually start flickering at the top of the rev range. oh another product that is similar is the TurboXS knock lite.
  2. the ECU error code for knock sensor doesnt tell you if a knock occurred. it tells you if it detects a fault with the knock sensor.
  3. wow, a corvette that doesnt look completely ugly, cool.
  4. we are doing a special on HSD coilovers from $1300 a set.
  5. we can get you a set of TuneAgent rear camber arms for $259. http://www.amecautocare.com.au/R33%20suspension%20parts.htm cheers
  6. have you tried replacing the ignitor module to clear code 21?
  7. agree, get an aftermarket gauge. the standard oil pressure senders tend to fail.
  8. just get one from Nissan. its only around $140.
  9. its normal for oil pressure to rise with the revs. what oil pressure is it running at idle?
  10. I would say thats very good for a streeter
  11. We finished 1st in class last time, lets hope the tradition continues hoping to have a 4.3 ratio 2 way diff installed by the day, just waiting on a tailshaft to be made up so it can be fitted. Racing starts from 12:30pm, and its FREE to come and watch.
  12. he he when you can fix zeds you can fix anything Nissan
  13. no it will be fine to remove the cover plate and do the load balance test possibly yes hard to say would be far better to get them professionally ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested unlikely but possible, cheap to replace so wouldnt hurt.
  14. the inability to rev past 4000rpm is most likely a boost leak.
  15. misfiring causes include: - coilpacks with the car idleing, pull a coil pack connector and if the idle changes, then you know that coilpack is ok. if the idle doesnt change then there is something wrong with either the coilpack or something injector related not right on that cylinder. do this for each cylinder. can also be: - failing ignitor module - failing cam angle sensor poor fuel economy can be caused by: - dead knock sensor - dead O2 sensor - faulty engine coolant temp sensor - bad injector(s)
  16. causes of poor fuel economy include: - dead knock sensor - dead O2 sensor - faulty engine coolant temp sensor have your ECU checked for error codes.
  17. looks like coilpacks to me. but other causes of misfire can be a failing cam angle sensor, or a failing ignitor module. can also be injector related.
  18. if you're going to build a VG30DETT, build it with something like Eagle rods and ACL race series pistons. you will be happy with the life you get out of the motor, our race motor has been going since Feb 2006, motor is still going strong. we are leading the QR Top Gear sprints series this year. for turbos I would suggest a pair of GT2860R for the best balance between power and response.

congrats to Beau today who made it through to the top 12 in Driftstate at QR today. He qualified in 17th position out of 24, then won his first battle after a re-run. Then in his second battle, he drove the car out of sight, but the other car simply had more power and Beau couldnt keep up. However I was very happy with the way he drove and once we get a chance to put a big power motor in the drift car, I am confident that Beau will do really well in future events.
