Ummm actually, the engine is still running with another turbo on it. There was shit in the oil line. There is no issue with a "cheap build' here, its to do with Leigh being a stooge and not checking the lines If you had driven a hybrid you would know that they are a totally different engine. The 26 still offers many advantages like I previously mentioned, but I still think that for the result, they are overpriced Turbo could have also been a dodgy job, heard one of the previous owners was a dodgy rat.....hahaha jk jk

So you recon you can buy and build a forged motor for $7k, well probably yes depending on parts, then you need the gearbox to back it up, then a fuel system, then management, clutch oh and maby a turbo setup too..... Had exactly the same setup sitting at home until I decided to sell my car, sold the engine to a mate for his VL.

Why go rb26 when you can go a much cheaper alternative of a 25/30 and then spend the rest on a turbo, management and injectors? Also, there is a guy over in tassie with a tuff little rb20 already setup thats not in the car yet, td06, management, injectors, HKS cams etc... maby ask him if his interested in a swap + cash or something. After seeing Roys results with an rb20 running a similar setup (minus cams) I wouldn't be surprised to see it kick out some very decent power. Rb26s are overpriced in my opinion, they do offer a few advantages (cams, plenum, lifters to mention a few) but the way I look at it, a hybrid costs less, make alot more midrange and with is ability to spool a the huffer sooner, will make a much more street able car. Or you could go to the casino, double your money and drop in a 2jz or even an ls1. Do it, I dare ya!!! hahaha

Sell the manifold and get one fabbed up or buy an off the shelf replacement. Trust manifolds are alright quality and fetch quite a high price simply becasue of their name so you shouldnt have too much trouble moving it

^^^ thats engine belongs to my mate leigh, its a 25/30, its on custom mounts in an r32 and its externally gated so I dont really think this is a true example of space within an r33, but yes I have seen it done before, look in the rb25 performance thread, there are a few there if I remember properly Hey trent, is that Justins car? I thought he had a gt35 kit on it, or are you talking about his previous turbo, he told me he loved it, could you dig up some pics of the dyno sheets please, I am very interested to see how it comes out.
