  1. Yeah most Motoring Journalists around the word consider it to be the worls best FWD
  2. Just get a Honda Integra Type R, My mates Type R (old model) could easily keep up with my R34 GTT (when it was standard).
  3. Yeah "Safety Camera Ahead" can mean red light, or both red light, and speed.
  4. Hi Mate, I'm no expert (to put it mildly), however I would have thought a good place to start would be a turbo back exhaust (will give you more power than a cat back), and an aftermarket air filter. When I 1st purchased my R34 GTT it was totally standard, and only put out 137rwkw on the dyno. After adding a turno back exhaust and a K & N pod filter it went up to 180rwkw. From there the skies the limit, but the further you go the more expensive it get's, also you'd want to take it to a good reliable mechanic who knows his GTR's. Also do a search on the site to see what other GTR owners have done to theirs.
  5. Might sound like a stupid question, but where is this event being help?
  6. Hi have you had any luck finding a certified valuer, as I would like to have my car valued. BTW - I've been insured with LSV for 4 years and they have been nothing but excellent. Thanks
  7. Yeah, your definately better off with 17"s, to many people go large diameter rims just for the hell of it, and they actually perform worse. You need a certain amount of rubber, running on rubber bands just doesn't perform well at all.
  8. The guy I use is Ben, who goes under the name Dentmedic, and also works out of Brookvale. Does amazing work. I had a really bad dent right on one of the creases of the body work, once he'd finished with it you couldn't tell it was ever their, amazing job.
  9. Is your work patrolled by security guards? If it is, my guess is they were involved in some way.
  10. I know the best guy in the business, I'll talk to you about it tomorrow. Paul
  11. Thanks Mate, Great thread on brakes
  12. Sounds like you've had similar problems to me. I previously fitted a set of EBC green stuff pads, to the front. They are very expensive, extemely dusty, and only lasted 12 months. On the plus side they way out performed the OEM pads. My car is a daily driver, but has never been on the track, I suppose I'm a little heavy on the brakes, but not that bad, I'd say most Skyline owners would be heavier on them than myself. It seems if you want good quality pads their going to cost big bucks and not last very long. Thanks
  13. Hi All, Can anyone recomend a good set of high performance aftermarket brake pads for a modified R34 GTT, with standard brakes. Thanks
  14. I have read the forum rules, and done an extensive search for good mechanics on the Northern Beaches, to no avail, found bugger all. There are very few mechanics on the Northern Beaches who know Skylines (most are out west). I have never said anything negative about anyone on this forum, personal or business. I am simply looking for a good mechanic on the Northern Beaches who knows Skylines. I'm not looking for any negative comments just some recommendations. I've been ripped off and provided with dodgy work god knows how many times, this has cost me thousands which I simply can't afford. It's got to point where I'm about to sell my beloved Skyline at a huge loss (which I don't want to do), and buy something common like a commodore, which any old mechanic can service and repair. PLEASE HELP. If not anyone interested in an immaculate R34 sedan. Thanks
  15. I'd be after some interior parts if you end up stripping it.
  16. Hi all, I'm looking for a good reliable mechanic (who really knows what he's doing) on the Northern Beaches. For servicing and general repairs on a modified R34. Had an unbelievable amount of dodgy work and problems with very simple repairs (which has cost me thousands) with my latest mechanic, will never go near him again. Can someone please recomend someone who has at least has half a clue what there doing. Sick of of wasting thousands on idiots. PLEASE HELP. Thanks
  17. Couldn't have somed it up better myself, god they shit me 3 lanes of traffic all full of cars doing 15-20km under the limit. The LEFT lane is for you slow bastards. It's actually people like this who cause accidents, because they get everyone else so uptight and impatient they do stupid things and have accidents them selves. Deep breaths everyone deep breaths!!!!!!!
  18. I actually like the Enkei RPF1, although I shouldn't say that because I have them on my car and their not to common. Also I've found Enkei's to be reasonably priced for a high quality Japanese rim.
  19. Ive been using Binding Prestige Panel and Paint in Brookvale (Northern Beaches) for years (who's a Mercedes specialist), he's worked on all my cars. Including my R34 a few years back, it was border line write off from a serious rear end collision, but insurance insisted on repairing it, it was a 20K repair job and I also had a total respray. I'm actually glad I had it repaired now. Basically everything behind the back doors (except drivers side quarter panel) was replaced. Couldn't be happier with him, he did a top notch job on the R34, when I got it back I put it up on a hoist and the workmanship was 2nd to none, and 3 years later it still looks brand new. If you want to talk to them speak to Frank or Terry (father and son who own the business). Ph: 9905 5770 Photo's below:
  20. Thanks Mate, PM sent
  21. Not really, but it was a good day, although not many Skylines present. Most cars put down around 300HP, although one monster GTR (running rear drive only) put down 650HP.
  22. Definately Motul in the engine, possibly Redline in the transmission.
  23. Yeah he's got a 9sec VL
  24. Does anyone know about Loui from Safs and if he is a good tuner? I have a modified R34 GTT with a BADLY tuned Power FC, and am considering using Loui because he has moved to A&B at Brookvale, which is near my place. I have a serious back problem and don’t want to drive out west from the Northern Beaches as it will upset my back. On the other hand I don’t want to use Loui unless he is a very good tuner? If you have any negative experiences please don’t say anything, but I would like to hear of any positive experiences. Thanks
