S1 is quite thin (approx 15mm, same as R33 GTST IIRC) An aftermarket koyo rad (standard construction, plastic top and bottom tanks) is thicker at about 25mm, but has fewer flutes than the stock rad, as the flutes are wider. No idea which would flow better, could be a close call (fewer large flutes v's more smaller flutes) but surely additional thickness will improve cooling? Y31 Cima rad is identical in width/height as the C34/R33 rad, but is double row, so a good upgrade for cheap if you can get one!

Did the NSW car have an ugly grey pod on the roof? If so, that was me, were you in the BP?

The Y31 Cima had the option of a card system for either ignition or door access. I cant recall exactly which but it was a precursor to the modern systems that use a chip in the key/key-fob.

I have the same unit, but the screen doesnt work. It occasionally flickers on when we start the car then dies. I have disassembled the unit hoping there would be a loose cable/bad joint, but no success. Anyone have some experience with this problem before? if i were to remive the unit completely, how would i control the AC?

'Cut is still available. A kind mate has offered to store it for me rather than scrap it, for a little while. I'm not looking to make a bundle, just a bit more than scrap value, so make an offer!! Also have a dashboard, various dash trim bits etc, a drivers side indicator and some front suspension parts/hubs (no brakes or shocks)
