  1. both work for me.
  2. R35 is bush beating? Wow didn't know that
  3. that is the case but it should hold boost a bit longer than that befoe it falls off, thats also why i mentioned the bigger exhaust housing.
  4. lol, yes known as that too.
  5. Otherwise known as impact sockets but should be more common in standard socket sets and also be availabe as ring spanners!
  6. I assume the gizmo is sold since you never got back to me about picking it up?
  7. Would get a lot more replies if you put it in the maintenance section. you will need turbo to manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold to head gaskets, turbo dump pipe gaskets, copper washers for banjo bolts, permatex high temp silicon gasket maker and i would also budget for replacing all the studs and probably removal of a couple of broken ones. You may be able to re use some of the gaskets by coating them in the gasket maker but if its a car your keeping and you dont want to have to do this all again in the near future it might be good insurance to invest the money the first time. Not sure how hard it is as ive only ever done gtst which is pretty easy.
  8. and since you have an Eboost you either need to have it set up properly or replace your wastegate, it should not be dropping off boost at 4200, maybe around 5500 with the restrictive exhaust housing but 4200 is too low.
  9. GCG, hypergear or mtq will be able to rebuild it, if your going down that road make sure you get steel exhaust wheel (although i doubt anyone would put the shitty ceramic one back in) i would also suggest using an op6/vg30/r34 rear housing, yes it would make it laggier but it would help solve your boost drop off problem (as would a good electronic boost controller) and would a allow you to run a little more boost which would put you right on your limit, its also a direct bolt on.
  10. Oh so your including having nistune hardware as well? Does the nistune hardware make a power fc any better?
  11. f**k me $1350 for a tune? Let me know who that is so I know not to go there.
  12. Is that cat a ceramic xforce? if so dont waste your time putting it in, mine hit a wall at 250rwkw and apparently my tuner has seen plenty of other cars with them hit the same wall, if your aiming at 230-300 then its going to be a restriction from the word go!
  13. hypergear, your pretty much either limited to the smallest hi flow he has or a bigger one with less boost as your injectors, afm and fuel pump are going to be at there limit, i maxed my injectors and afm out at 230 rwkw but that was over tuning the afm and hitting 100% duty cycle on the injectors neither of which is recomended.
  14. they say the divorce rate is 50% and climbing, probably close to that with long term mates too but you dont have to shell out for a ring and a wedding and keep paying for annoying little shit heads that you only get to see every second weekend if your lucky lol, and no i dont have kids or an ex wife!
  15. I would do it but 2 things for sure, put your name on the title and get a contract, just make sure its noted on the contract that he paid the deposit and he owns an extra percentage depending on how much the deposit is, if you ever go for any sort of loan out side the house then equity in the house is an asset but if your name is not on the title then i doubt the banks would accept it. It could well end up in a shit fight but if he is a very good mate and you trust him then go for it, i would also take nismoids advice on plenty of room, expect there to be 4 people living there at times. If after a few years you come to the conclusiuon that its not work out then sell the house (or one buys the other half) and split the equity.
  16. Back to the drawing board then!
  17. OK let me re-word my last post, is this a launch control that that is kinder to your engine and turbo? Thats what Im looking for and for under 230 posted I would grab one if it is.
  18. well as far as i understand antilag (as the name suggests) makes positive pressure when standing still, there is also the flat shift function like rally cars have but the basic function of antilag as far as im aware is to make boost when the engine is not under load, the description on the web site says it does. I have also heard ppl in here say that it is a "soft limiter" which i believe will not make boost and is much less likely to hurt the turbo and engine like antilag does, i was looking for something like that not long ago but was informed that there was nothing after market like that, its either antilag or nothing.
  19. The description on that page you linked to is: So how is not antilag?
  20. Do you have the plastic inner splash gaurd for the left hand side? Also what condition is the gaurd in?
  21. prices do differ from store to store sometimes, a mate use to work at one and quite often if there was a sale they would "forget" to reduce the prices on some things and unless you mentioned it they would still sell it at above rrp price (which a lot of there stuff is).
  22. i have one like that, except mine has bov return as well and are at a 45 degree angle so they are directed towards the turbo (dont know about the crank case vent but there is a thread around here some where about the bov return need to be pointing towards the turbo not on a 90 like yours) then i just use 2x3" 45 degree silicone bends trimmed to get the right angles to hook up between the 3540 and afm.
  23. and if you want to take it one step further you could extend the length so you could get the whole car on there and have a stand under each wheel and remove the centre bits, closest you will get to a hoist with out spending lots of cash!
  24. BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA bunch of f**ktards, this ad was from 2010, the date of the event didnt give it away?
  25. I use to have a block of plate for one of those, much easier to make a plate than replace the pipe, especially if you want to keep your polished pipe
