the only part i could see that could be opened on the old afm was where the plug is, took the screws out and gave it a wiggle and it came out, virtually no resistance considering there is 3 pins on there that should have been securely soldered inside.

The problem got really bad n my car today, could'nt even hold 100k's on the freeway, only thing i had done was fitting an airbox, i changed the afm over to a spare i have and i now have no more problems.

Well maybe next time you should say "in my experience" instead of stating that they have to be on and in use before it is illegal, which quite clearly is wrong, even if they think you are using one that gives them the right to search you car for one, has happened many times before, there is no grey area, apart from WA they are illegal in every state. all looks nice n neat, only bad thing i see is that the earth wiring is red, wont make anything run any different but i prefer to keep my earth wires black and positive red.

5psi seems very low, have you tried adjusting it in small increments at a time and testing it each time instead of just all the way in and all the way out? And my second comment was not stereo typing you, it was part truth, sales people will tell you what you want to hear to get you to buy something, thats why we have these forums, find out who else owns one and see what it can actually do and how well it does it, as you said it will go down to 5psi but its a dog, but it was mainly a joke. Only suggestion i can offer is to adjust it in small increments and test each time, as zennon said, will sit on 9-10 psi easily and that would be a safe boost level.

just buy some spacers, how much extra room do you need, my 33 has had the front (the surface facing outwards) of the calipers ground down and 5mm spacers added so the wheels clear. Also isnt a gtst and a gts25t the same thing?

im guessing it is not designed for that, after all they are sold assuming ppl would want to up the boost not lower it.
