  1. on the panel that runs over the top of the headlights the is a rubber stopper on each end, it is basicly just there to stop the bonnet sitting on metal, these can be un scewed to adjust them up and down to line the bonnet up with the grill and 1/4 panels properly.
  2. My old ford was the same, have to pull everything out back to the firewall and drain the air con system to get the heater box out and then you have to cut the heater box to get the core out, lost of fun, luckily i sold it instead of doing it my self. Once it was out back together it wouldnt switch from hot to cold so they pulled it all out again to check everything before they realised it was just one of the last plugs that powered the motor that they had not plugged back in. Lots of fun!!!!
  3. You might want to check into this a little more, i did the same conversion on my old rx7 and the cooling of the thermo was shyte (was a 16" davies craig) , would not do any where near as good as the clutch fan and have since heard many stories about many different cars that are driven hard and the thermo's dont work anywhere near as good as the factory clutch fan, i had my temp controller turned up full and if i drove normally or babied it it would sit at normal temp, as soon as i started to give it some it would shoot up, i would only need to do the equivalent of a 1/4 mile run and the temp would be up.
  4. Maybe try nissan, if they dont have something take one out and search through the newer models at your local pick a part, might find some good ones there but if not might be able to get them through that maker.
  5. 750????? You sure you were'nt in a barina dreaming of a skyline
  6. And i need the factory air box its connected to, if you near frankston i will pick it up.
  7. Yes it will, can tell by the base.
  8. Just wondering if you have the foot rest? I have noticed that my S1 looks like it has holes to mount one but dosnt have one, do manuals normaly have one?
  9. What suburb are you in, if your close i will take the airbox and pick it up.
  10. A lot of rca's have a wire up the middle that a lot of people use as the remote wire (a power wire that runs to the amp and turns the amps on when the head unit is on) this can give the noise you have.
  11. Would really be best if you answer the fitting question in the thread, would save you some time. As other ppl have asked is this a direct bolt on for an rb25?
  12. do you have a factory airbox?
  13. I dont either, but if i was paying someone to install something i would expect them to do a better job than i do.
  14. the black tape is the insulation (unless you want to use heat shrink), i think its time you learnt about wiring, go into the boot and make sure the power wires and rca wires are not on each other. Also did he use the wire inside the rca's as a remote, if so that could be your problem, if this guy is a professional installer and he didnt bother to solder the wires i wouldnt be surprised if he did use that wire, sounds like a bit of a hack. There are many things you could check but if you dont know your way around wiring and installs you could end up with more problems than you have now.
  15. How can, you say that you were close to being ripped off, all the numbers say is it may be a vspec nothing there to say it isnt a vspec.
  16. Ive been trying to pin point when it happens but it does it at anytime, the first couple of times was when it was cold but now its whenever it feels like, also on the first couple of times it was at low speed but since then it has done it on the freeway, hav'nt noticed any pot holes and on the weekend was the first time it ever did it when starting, normally its always happened whilst the car is moving. Its an odd one, i know its going to be something simple but where the hell do i start. Actually one thing i found out on the weekend is that the ecu has no bracket holding it in, maybe there is an earth issue there.
  17. rb25det S1 R33. The problem is that it is intermittent, cant really find the problem unless it happens whilst he has it, could spend a fortune looking and never actually find the problem, im hoping someone else has had the same problem.
  18. I installed, not exactly the first one i have ever done, use to work at an install place, everything was soldered and insulated, even the little bit of the rca connection that is exposed was insulated, once all of that was done it was plugged into the head unit (as you would know nothing is hard wired to the head unit its all on seperate looms) from the first second i turned it on i had problems.
  19. oops, heres the thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...amp;hl=purifier
  20. this thread has pics of a 32, 33 is about the same size but more rounded and a red and green led in the front, r34 im not sure on, as you can see by the pics if you have one on to of your parcel shelf you will know its there.
  21. No idea, hav'nt had my 33 long and hav'nt had any issue's with the puretron yet, if i do i will probably just pull the fuse anyway. Maybe try nissan, they might stock them, or be able to get them in.
  22. apart from the bt it is pure audio, it dos'nt even play dvd's, if you spend $1000 on a top of line name player you expect a little extra and you expect it to work, it has never been returned because of the bt, it had other audio issues from day one with bad sound quality.
