So what your saying is that you want vic roads/vicpol/transport company to take action based purely on what you say happened? You would be very surprised how many truck haters there are out there and at the slightest thing they dont like they ring the company to complain that the truck pulled in front of them and only left 57 mtrs instead of 60, transport managers are also all to aware of this so unless the driver has lots of complaints against them or you have evidence all they can do is ask them about it and unless they fess up tell them to be more carefull, which of course is just covering there arse. Of late i have noticed cars being a little more courteous to trucks (maybe its all the publicity of truck V car fatals lately that scares them) but its still a battle just to change lanes, the amount of times i have passed someone on the freeway doing 80 and as soon as they see my indicator and realise im going to pull in front they speed up and and try to get beside me, this is where the arrogant truck driver hat goes on, my tri axle's alone weigh as much as your car so if you want to go to battle with them you can but i suggest you stay where you are when you realise your doing 80 in a 100 zone because your on the phone and not paying attention and go around me or stay where you are. If every one had to spend a few days in a truck they would certainly see situations from a different angle, especially the tail gating, we can see your tail lights but we can also see your head, hands, body and how your car is drifting, put all of these things together and we usually know what your going to do before you use your brakes or indicators, but if you want to unexpectedly brake check an agro driver who is more than willing to teach car drivers a lesson then go right ahead, but before you do it think about the consequences, the prime mover i drive weighs 9.5ton on its own, add the trailer and freight.............. i know i would let it go and live another day. I also love the tards that say "truck drivers are on drugs" lol, there is more of chance that the person in a car next to you is on drugs than any one of the truck drivers around you, there still are some that are but they are very few with all they weigh bridges that are open with drug testing these days.

I think you would struggle to get an engineer to pass anything other than a motor with all factory ecu and epa crap as there is no guaranteed way of locking a programmable ecu to make sure you wont play with it again, and if you go an after market ecu and have upped the power then you run into other problems with brakes if you have too much power, and if you do get all of that engineered it wont stop a cop from giving you a full epa notice as its just a notice to get your car checked because they think it "might be illegal".

R33 S3 Gtr Front Seats Pair With Rails
W0rp3D replied to Curmi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
FYI R34 gtt has its own unique floor pan, 32-34 seats are interchangeable EXCEPT 34 gtt (and gt i think) -
I know of 2 people who have club reg, no rwc required, they have to document there car send the application to the club official (including pictures) who handles that stuff he will then decide if its possible, if it is he comes out and inspects the car, gives a yay or nay, if yay paper work gets sent to vic roads. One of them has a KE70 with a motor that never came out in that car of with a turbo which it now has, perspex side and rear window, 6 point cage, no interior, commodore locked diff, every supension piece upgraded with adjustable items and fiberglass front panels, no rwc required, he has been defected tho, too loud and a vented catch can, fixed those and got them cleared at vic roads. That being said if you want club reg and intend to do stupid shit then its not just the cops you have to look out for, apparently if too many cars get into shit that are registered through that club vic roads will take them off the list and therefore cancel every ones rego through that club so clubs dont allow any bullshit and can and do cancel members club reg if they bring unwanted attention to the club.

And from the other side of the fence, i went to a dyno day about 2 months ago, a few weeks later i got an epa noise letter in the mail, so did 4 other ppl, i know 2 of the other ppl that got a letter, no one saw a cop car and the times on the letters spanned an hour so the gutless mr proctor (how ever his name is spelt) was hiding somewhere writing down rego's, it was publicized that the event was registered with the local cops so every one behaved themselves and were not doing stupid shit, mine and my mates car were 92db (dont know about the third), at normal driving conditions there is no way in hell that any one could have picked 2db from a distance. This particular cop has visited many workshops around here and has told them that he does not care if they have engineers or not he is going to target every modified car and make there life hell. I do believe cancer was invented for people like this!

A friend of mine bought a car from the auctions with rego, she went and got an rwc paid all the fee's and transferred it into her name, then got a letter saying she had not paid the transfer fee's and stamp duties, turns out vicroads had f**ked up, after putting it in her name the computers then transferred back into the original owners name, some one picked up on it and transferred it back and thats when the computer generated letter was sent out saying she owed extra fee's on it.

Get out the yellow pages and ask them, you won't find any one recommending one as there the ones we avoid, just because the government say it's illegal don't mean shit, most of the stuff is safe it just doesn't have the adr stamp in it.
-
Do a search the list is on here somewhere, if you can go lower than legal then there not legal
-
If you get some one who is up onm the rules you will probably get knocked back on coil overs (only 1 or 2 brands are legal), recaro if there is not adr compliant label on it and arms if they are also not adr compliant.

The last couple of cold mornings my windsceen has fogged as per usual, i put the demister on and nothing happens, the fan works and there is heat coming out but it does not demist, i tried using the aircon but still nothing, i have noticed the smell of coolant in the car some times so i guess the heater core needs changing but surely that would not stop the demister from working?

Car Died Wont Start What Should I Check?
W0rp3D replied to W0rp3D's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also when i pulled the fuse out and looked at it there was no break so i would suggest changing that and the engine control ones with new ones just to make sure. -

Would have been the starter indicator one. -
i cant weld so i had some one weld me up a 6" bit of stainless with the pcv and bov return on a 45 degree angle directed to the turbo, i then used 2 3" 45degree sillicone bends trimmed to suit, all up my intake cost me under $200 with the 2 plumb backs, if i had a welder and could weld it would have been well under $100.

That thought has crossed my mind, i have fairly new yellow jackets but maybe its time to get some splitfires.

Car Died Wont Start What Should I Check?
W0rp3D replied to W0rp3D's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Apparently The fuse reduces the injector pulse to a point where it wont get enough fuel to fire but still enough to show a pulse on a multi meter. No idea why its there or even if that info is correct but it does explain why everything checked out fine but it really wasnt. -
How much of a difference does the heat range make, im running 22psi and its breaking down up top, im running 6's at .8 any idea if 7's at .8 would fix it or should i go straight to 6's or 7's at .6?
-
Its been changed from factory which means its a modification, thats assuming that the cop looking at it knows exactly what your airbox should look like and given the amount of these cars running pods theres a chance they dont.
-
They have been trying to do it for years but the government dont want to for some reason. I believe nsw has had it for over a decade.

Car Died Wont Start What Should I Check?
W0rp3D replied to W0rp3D's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For those with the same problem check the fuse marked "starter" dont assume that this is for the starter motor and dont bother checking because the starter is working fine, its actually for a "starting circuit" which is apparently separate from the ecu, and even if it looks fine change it any way. Also after flattening the battery many times trying to start it you have probably screwed your plugs and cleaning them wont help so get a new set! Lessons learnt -
What about if they come with the car? and if 99% of ppl think there something that there not? mine are SR071

Car Died Wont Start What Should I Check?
W0rp3D replied to W0rp3D's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No vac leaks, but even if there was one the car would still atleast fire on a couple of cylinders, have not checked fuse's or relays tho, will do that when i get some light. It is in properly then, had to fiddle with it before it would slide into the D shaped keyway, untill it did the cas would not slide all the way in.
