  1. I haven't checked but i do know who it was installed by and, well, there's no way it wouldn't comply (i'm being deliberately vague here - i'm paranoid ). Thanks though.
  2. Thanks for that. I bought my car recently and thought the system was factory, as it was done pretty well, but if they weren't standard i know mine's fine. I guess others could still find the above information useful though.
  3. Hi guys, i've been looking at immobilisers lately and for those of you insured with Just Car Insurance (or another company) who require an 'Australian Standard' Immobiliser, i thought you might like a few details. The standard is called the Australian/New Zealand Standard for Vehicle Immobilisers and has code AS/NZS 4601:1999. I'm currently trying to confirm that the factory (ok there isn't one, so my) R33 immobiliser conforms to this standard. If anyone knows this for sure please tell me . Cheers
  4. hi guys, i'm having this same problem with my GTS25t. i get a harsh 'shuffling' noise at about 1500rpm in any gear above first at any throttle opening. i'm going to try putting back the stock BOV and that'll hopefully get rid of it. my question is, how much harm is this doing to the turbo or engine?
  5. thanks heaps. i wish searching was easier on here oh and one more question everyone in that thread is saying the NGK part number is BCPR6ES-11 while their website says PFR5G-11 i assume the difference is platinum vs copper?
  6. Hi guys, I'm just wondering what the spark plug gap for a stock RB25DET should be? I've been getting misfiring on the last few nights and have been thinking it's the coils (they look alright but not perfect) but the spark plugs are pretty worn and are gapped at close to 1.5mm (i only got this car a week ago - so it wasn't me). from what i've been reading it should be 1.1mm. Is this right? I'm hoping a new set of plugs gapped at the proper amount should fix my problem. edit: just found a lot of info on google that i couldn't find before (looking for 2hrs): Cylinder arrangement - DOHC 6 cylinder in-line Bore x Stroke mm (in) - 86.0 x 71.7 (3.386 x 2.823) Displacement - cm3 (cu in) - 2,498 (152.43) Firing order - 1-5-3-6-2-4 Idling speed M/T rpm - 650 Ignition timing (BTDC) M/T degrees - 15 Spark plugs [NGK] - Hot PFR5G-11, Standard PFR6G-11, Cold PFR7G-11 Spark plug gap mm (in) - 1.0 to 1.1 (0.039 to 0.043) Camshaft operation - Timing belt VVTC Power kW (hp) / rpm - 184 (250) / 6400 Torque Nm / rpm - 294 / 4800 Compression - 9.0 to 1 Induction - Turbocharged hope this helps others like me
