maybe try downloading them as a torrent off www.isohunt.com or something. Not 100% sure whether they would have them but then that way all it would cost you is a download from your monthly limit, and the dvd you need to burn it on.

Why does it matter if you have an upgraded turbo or not? Isn't a roadworthy check over the general condition of the car, ie all safety components work (seatbelts etc.) all lights work, and the car has no major leaks anywhere? Page 10 - Section J of the rwc requirements thing on vicroads states: "All mountings, brackets, and fastenings, necessary for the safe operation of the vehicle must be secure and free from damage, deterioration or abnormal distortion. All shafts, splines, universal joints, support bearings, tail shaft guards and other drive-line components must be in good condition and free of excessive wear and vibration. The power unit, clutch system, transmission system, differentials, axle housings, and all associated pipelines must be properly sealed and free of dripping or flowing oil leaks onto the roadway, exhaust system, or brake friction surfaces. Dampness, weeping or staining are acceptable but oil leaking from the underside of the vehicle to such an extent that it is likely to drop oil on the road surface (if the vehicle is parked or idling stationary for any length of time) is unacceptable. Any insulating material in an engine enclosure must be in good condition and free from contamination by fuels or lubricants and there must not be any accumulation of fuel or lubricant in the engine compartments." No where does it state you can't have an upgraded turbo? There is a section on modified vehicle, stating modifications fall into three categories etc. but also states that "an examination should be confined to checking that the modification appears to be properly executed and not in a condition which presents a hazard."

My point exactly! If he's stupid enough to write the wrong car (when it even says what it is on the rego sticker) then he's stupid enough to stuff it up. He's probably arrogant enough to stick it on the car too (working in stonnington - generalization I know but ehh) In a case like that i'm pretty sure they take pictures of where you were parked, with the pole with the sign and the position of your car visible. If not they don't really have a case. Maybe nicely go up there and ask them for the picture if they have one (go check the place first to be on the safe side) and if they so no or we don't have one tell them they don't have a case and where they can stick their fine

Lmao love it! I know I can't prove that he was distracted, and I doubt he was, he was probably just an idiot, but how can he prove that it was my mates car, when it is not the car listed on the fine? And in the end if he can't prove that, he can't issue a fine, correct?

And with the whole Stonnington council thing, my guess is that they don't let anyone off, purely on the fact they assume most people can afford to pay it, and it won't really affect most (financially at least).

That just happened to be a Ford Sedan, and he accidently put in my mates rego, and said stuff it i'll just stick it on this one?

Hey guys, My friend just copped a parking fine on malvern road (stonnington). My question is, if the smart inspector thought the car was a "ford sedan" when it is in fact a "holden hatchback" (re. Astra) can my mate get off the fine? And to all the people that are going to say just go and pay it, i'm not having a cry, just trying to save him $60 from a little accident. Hey guys, Alright I don't know if i'm the only one in this boat, but using a toshiba laptop (a300 satellite) and the media keys don't seem to work. I know this is the case with other laptops too, as well as some keyboards. Yes they do work with windows media player but I don't use it. Had a search on google and there is a plug-in that you can download, but I did and put it in the itunes folder but didn't work. Using the latest itunes if that helps? And also it works when itunes is the active window but kinda defeats the purpose of media keys when you have to switch windows to change a song. Anyone know how I can make them work?

thanks for the replies guys. in regards to the sony one's looking for something with smaller rears and front speakers, and as you said wireless is a must, and im 99% sure the logitech one's have 4 satellites (so im assuming wireless??) without looking too hard found the z5500's for $369 at Smartcom Computer Solutions (9553-6199). Any clue whether they sell them at jb? I'm sure I could get them at mate's rate's there

hey guys don't really know much about this stuff so pretty much im just looking for a set of 5.1channel speakers to hook up to mostly my ps3 but occassionally my ipod or laptop. have been looking at the logitech z5500 http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers...24&cl=us,en has pretty much everything, but no clue where to find it and prices i've heard are around 320-350ish. any other suggestions?
