Hey just recently sold my R33 gts25 for $10.2k to the gf had it advertised for 11.5k but was getting next to no response. 1994, full 2.5 inch zorst, pod, steering wheel, 18s body kit and 92xxx genuine kms. When selling mine found there was not much of a market for non turbo's so u should be able to pick one up quite cheap-cheap i say!

  3. Refabrication seems to be able to do it (so im told), although the c-notch is the only thing that has me thinking twice. As you cant get a c-notch engineered unfortunatley. Can get bump stops put in to stop it at 100mm and take them out if i ever decide to enter a show.

  6. NIB- thanks ill give him a call on monday. Although i spoke to x-speed today and they were saying much more costly to rebuilt the rodeo engine as everything turbowise will need to be "custom" I got the rodeo so i wont have to pull a trailer can just put the bike on the back As far as off road work goes it wont be too much as i wont wanna scratch my new paint. It'll be just enough to get me to my riding spots. Btw i also plan on getting New spray job airbagged suspension (and bodywork to fit rims on so i can drop it on its ass) 20inch oasis rims Interior/sound system a bit later down the track once ive saved some more money All up this should be one mean mini truck
  7. whats it going to cost to build and turbo the stock engine? keeping in mind that it already has over 200 000kms on it. Spoke to a place called Chevtorque who do the supercharged conversions reckons looking anywhere between 11-16.5k, speedworks hyperdrive and xspeed have all said between 9-11k for an sr20det conversion. I am in two minds now, what you guys think i should do?
  8. Bought a holden rodeo the other week to transport my motorbike (skylines and trailers dont mix well). Looking at getting an sr20det or maybe an rb in the rodeo, if an rb will fit. Called the usual places xspeed, hyperdrive, speedworks but can remember reading somewhere , there is a place that does the supercharged commodore conversions to hilux's and rodeo's. Anyone know where this place is and what its called?
  9. Try lumleys or torque (division of lumleys). I am 20 and with a clean driving record and a bit of haggling my car is insured for $12500. Full comprehensive cover for $600 a yr. Only catch is its a $1000 excess, but any minor work under a grand yous should be able to afford anyway considering you can afford to buy the car. If you cant pay dont play.

  11. I catch a train to work so dont have to worry about it lol. When i started my job had the choice between my own parking bay or unlimited multi-riders. So much more convenient to catch the train
  12. Ok, i have had a bit of a look around and it comes down to carmate or jetspeed for the GTR front bar. Have heard things about carmate i dont like but then i have heard jetspeeds bars are from china too, which would you choose? Still crossing my fingers i can get one from a supplier here in WA tho.
  13. Definately count me in. I am up for a package deal for the series 1 R33 gts coupe. I would like the black with red inserts and red stitching as shown in the second photo on your post, i believe its the same colour as haysey got last group buy. So whatever colour combo his was i will get a package deal to suit my car thanks.

  15. i really like the look of this front bar. I think its a 33 gtr front bar with a lip? I have a 33gts and wanna get one of these bars put on. Any idea where i can get them from and if they come with the black front lip ?
  16. Give torque a go, they are a division of lumleys. I am 20 own a r33 gts and comprehensive is costing me $668 a year. Yeah its n/a but still damn hard to beat
  17. Was chatting to a mates dad on the weekend who happens to be an automotive engineer. We were discussing the same thing. He suggested instead of spending all that money on doing the 5 stud conversion as you would need - 5 stud rims and tyres anywhere from $1700 up depending on whether you skimp or not - brake rotors - calipers - The actual 5 stud hubs. It can end up quite costly. One option he suggested was to look through the dba catalogue and see if youy can find some rotors with the same stud setup as the skyline. Then buy new/used/reconditioned calipers. It also depends if your planning on bolting on a turbo etc later on and what power your hoping to get. I know the galant vr-4 used a 4 stud setup. 4 stud hubs in good condition should be able to take 200rwkw.
  18. Bought a new set of brake pads for the front of my car on the weekend (from Repco) and was given the wrong size. Wondering if anyone knows the code for bendix brake pads for a series one r33 gts ?
  19. Just a quick one i have done a search and cant quite find what i am looking for. Was just wondering if theres is any difference in the rotors and the calipers of a R33 gts and a r33 gts-t ?
  20. Some dick at uni today driving up and down in his shitbox lancer coupe. FYI- if i wanted to waste my time i could weld a milo can on the end of my exhaust too! Anyways .... i parked in the carpark and he parked next to me, walked up and asked me to "pop my hood" i was like wtf ? Then when i said no he asked if i it smokes the tyres ? All lancer drivers are the same

  23. not too long ago there was a post looking at maybe getting a group buy of some bodykits from the eastern states. Now i have looked everywhere for the post but i can seem to find it. Does anyone know the name of the shop ? or can paste a link to the post? Thanks
  24. Running an r33 gts with the standard braking set-up. Looking at doing a 5-stud conversions and a brake upgrade before getting my turbo etc put on. Probably looking at getting gtr sized rotors and new pads and maybe some calipers aswell ? Any help would be appreciated as i have no idea where to start
