Hi guys, I am slowly building my parts up for my turbo conversion. Currently i am running an rb25de. Just wondering wheteher i should get a safcii (as i know others have had good results) or should i just pay the extra few hundred dollars and go straight for the pfc ? Which will be better in the long run as this is what i also plan on getting done, - r33 series 2 turbo - BATMBL split dump, high flow cat - 3 inch cat back - fmic - walbro fuel pump - standard gts-t injectors - electronic boost controller - BOV (undecided on which type) Also be doing a brake upgrade either to larger rotors and maybe 4 - 6 pot calipers. Or just doing a full porsche brake upgrade. So yeah any ideas on what i should do ? Cheers

Why do they always have these things on bloody saturdays. Dont they realise that lots of us play sport on saturdays and hence cannot attend. Sunday is much better

N/A is actually quite easy to get insurance for compared to turbo. I am 20 and this is the first time insurance has been under my name and not the parents. I went through Torque and am paying $670 a year fully comprehensive cover, pretty damn cheapo if you ask me. I spoke to some young girl cant remember her name and she said she had been in the same position as me being at uni expensive quotes etc .... managed to get her down to that mark. Had it been a turbo i would have been looking at betwenn $1200 - $2200 a year. Go figure ! So now the plan is just to turbo my engine. If i do crash, plan is to bring it home and get mechanic mate to take it off asap. Anyways just something to think about ...

even my non-turbo recommends atleast 95 octane

cheers for the quick response guys i just did a quick search on the bridgestone site and the only ones that fit my current rims (225/40/18) are the SO3 and the G3. discount is like 40% so i might go the SO3 as bridgestone quotes them as their"flagship". all comes down to cost really from what i take both are good tyres ?

My parents bought me, my sister and my brother all our first cars. my first car when i turned 17 was a toyota camry. When that blew up, they bought me my skyline. Now i dont want to sound obnoxious but if your parents have the money and they choose to buy you a car it is their decision how they wish to spend it. Personally i have no problems with parents buying children their cars and i will buy my children cars when it is their turn. Obviously its each to their own and i dont have a problem either way. My 2 cents ...

There is a large grass, walking path area between the burswood casino and the river. if you park your car on the little grassy embankment/hill there you get an awesome view of the car, river and city. My mates done it and they could go straight into a mag ... just make sure you go in the morning so your not looking into the sun.

Looking at buying some side skirts and a rear bar. Just wondering the pro's / cons of both the fiberglass and the composite materials ..

Looking at getting 400r, vertex or bomex side skirts. Must be in really good condition as i cbf wasting time n effort fixing them up when i can pick up a brand new pair for under $300.

Jobs in the mines arent that hard to come by really. The old Fella works for pilbara iron down here in the city and they have just realeased >300 positions ranging from t/a's to top level managers. Sure to find something there. Best way is to send your resume out to the major companies woodside, pilbara iron and bhp ( and a few larger contractors). They all have dedicated recruiting departments who are always very helpful and efficient. The local shires up there are also always looking for labourers etc, taking home over $50 -60 an hour. The general word seems to be to f**k my car off an buy a gtst. Some ppl have suggested going for suspension etc .... i got it with a few light mods already 18 inch g-max rims, lowered on bilstein adjustables, cat-back exhaust, pod filter front spoiler thats broken , but shit happeand it. It also "supposedly" has a chip in it. It's only got 80 000km's on the clock and we got it from my mates dad who is a mechanic (RAC) so its in pretty good nick. Not on my P's either peoples im 19, previously had a camry but i sorta blew the engine up being a dickhead. So yeah where is the cruise this sunday ?

Hi all , Just thought i'd drop a line to say hi. Recently purchased a series 1 R33 GTS. As my name suggests the GTS just isnt fast enough ( my parent sbought it so i cant complain i guess). Am interested in either dropping an Rb25det in or looking at getting my engine turbo'd. As I am at uni and money is a bitch atm wondering if you guys could help me out with maybe a few workshops around the place and maybe some $$$ estimates. Cheers
