  1. What!? explosive canisters?! I dont think i would want those seat belt tensioners in my car! HAHAH! It was kinda like the red flare i got with my car. WTF! Not with NT heat you would want that in the car! LOL!
  2. told you they weighed a sh#tload! very good jacks they are.
  3. Get yourself a 'youll be'. its just a long pipe thats hollow. it has to be strong though. put the wratchet handle into the hollow end and turn the bugger.
  4. yeah, autobarn told me that the thermostats were the same with the RB30,25 and 26. Thanks for your help fellas!
  5. lol! thats what i was thinkin!
  6. One other note, the brand thermostat ive got is a 'Stant'. Thermostat model ST6-170. Has anyone used this brand before?
  7. problem 1 could be a few things. Does it make noise when you turn? If it does, it may be the CV joint. if it clunks on a bump/pothole, it may be your shockie. If it makes sound altogether when you drive along, it may be the bearings?
  8. im planning on rebuilding an RB26 sometime next year which will have aftermarket internals. no advice from me yet. listen to GTRgeoff, and look in the search. and yes, turn your caps lock off please.
  9. Hey all, Im gonna change my coolant in my car but this will be the first time ive changed it in a skyline. Im gonna replace the thermostat as well. This is the method ive used with all my other previous cars and some extra additions that ive read on previous threads, such as the bleeder plug near the fuel pressure regulator. i was wondering if anyone thinks otherwise is best. 1. take the theromstat housing out and replace thermostat, then re-gasket back in place. 2. turn ignition on and set heater to full. 3. unplug bottom radiator hose and stick garden hose inside. 4. unplug the bleeder bolt. 5. turn hose on. wait till water flows out clear from bleeder bolt hole and from radiator end hole. 6. drain some water out to top up with coolant. 7. run engine. keep topping up with coolant while radiator is flowing. If anyone wants to cut and paste the 6 instructions to rearrange, add or delete, be my guest!
  10. it was just my ECU that was farked. it got water in it somehow when we had all those non-stop rains.
  11. Bout time you joined SAU Phee! Sorry to hear about your car as well. I was heaps pissed off when mine was running like crap and had to get towed to HTT.
  12. Man that is fcucking awesome you found it! Good on ya! If its one thing i hate its thieves. Make sure you install the above mentioned as well as a kill switch. Did the police help at all?
  13. R32 lights are made of glass so no buffing needed. Ive got Narva Arctic Blues. The code on the bottom reads P/No. 48633BL2, H3 12V 55W. Hope that helps.
  14. uhhh, you shouldnt be opening that. You dont need to. Your exhaust temp light acts as a 'engine check' light too. If your exhaust temp light is on all the time cos you got no exhaust temp sensor, give the turn screw on the ECU a go to see if the exhaust light will flash anyway in correspondence with a possible electrical fault. I still think AFM's. Its almost always the case
  15. How did you get the rust pics into your reply without turning them into the little pop-up boxes? I never really thought about rust on my car. I better get searching! I have lifted the floor carpet to get to some wires and looked fine though but you can never be too sure!
  16. 15grand!!!! Holy crap! Mine is exactly $1726 dollars a year through JC. What makes insurance companies think they can charge people that much a year?! 15grand! Thats ridiculous! The insurance would probably be worth more than the car!
  17. I have yet to receive a reply from the Sydney Morning Herald. They're probably in too much shock and horror that I was able to write out such a sensible and concise email that they couldnt reply They probably thought that a skyline drivers vocabulary consisted mainly of 'fulli sik uleh's!' and 'wicked bruss!'
  18. Squeaky brakes? Have you checked your brake pads on your imaginary skyline? they usually cause a squeaking noise when the pads wear down to the metal clip. Here is a link that usually solves all peoples problems http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=116233 I hope it helps..........
  19. I know this is old but you could try Katherine Canvas and Upholstery. Its located around Crawford Street. I hear hes really good with upholstering and he doesnt charge that much. I asked him how much it would be if he could replace my carpet in my 180sx custom made. He said it would cost about 300 bucks if i can remember?
  20. No worries flamin mongrelFaCE!
  21. Have a look at this shit: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=114042&st=220 Honda Integra or Skyline? you got pwned bruss! prove you got a skyline/integra or whatever and take a photo of you next to it holding a sign saying "Hey bruss! SAU Bruss!" oh yeah, skylines arent generally that cheap to maintain. They eat your fuel too. I hope that answers your question. LOL!!!
  22. Just did a quick search for you: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=ECU+diagnostic It may be helpful. Make sure your ignition is on, but the car not idling. If your doing it right, then i suppose the exhaust temp light was the only 'flashing' light source?
  23. Yeah, when i read the back pages with the black R32 GTR on it i thought "whoa! that looks sweet!!!" IT bitzed them all too if i remember. I cant be bothered to walk the 10 feet to flick throught the mag lol.
  24. your exhaust temp light?
