I wrote this big old reply only to read that it was an old thread. LOL! Just Cars Insurance do insure the NT now.

Yep, those sneaky Japanese always wind back the clocks, LOL! Not all of them though. I had a 180sx which had about 60,000 on the clock, and was a 1989 model. cops A#se it only did 60k! ITs not only in Japan that they do this to imports. When they arrive here, dodgy importers usually do it themselves too. My old 180 still had the import and auction papers in the glovebox, and also a flare!(?) but on the auction papers it had something like 87,000k's, so i could tell it had been wound back here in Australia.

Paint it bright orange, and get one of those "Fk off, were full!" sticker to take up the entire rear windscreen. Will be a REAL head turner. im just jokin ay, im asian too R32 GTR's look good as they are, they always get looks. Lower it a lil and a good set of mags, R33 and R34 GTR mags look awesome on an R32.

All R32 Owners Out There.............
edspaged2 replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Its amazing people still think the rest of Australia is all deserted. Ive had some people ask me over the net if we ride kangaroos here in the NT. No Joke!!! Wing is awesome, put it on. i dont have one on my car at the moment, but will be soon. FAT32, Druzilla32, nice rides! FAT32, it looks as if you sprayed that "Photo Blocker" stuff on your number plate! -
Thats awesome. The Japanese police have been using skylines as police cars for bloody ages! ive got this old 80's movie called "Too Much", about this girl going to Japan and making friends with this robot. Pretty strange. There are some car chases in the movie involving the police and you can see the old Skyline police cars. Im not familiar with the old school ones though. They had the rear view mirrors on the front wheel guards i think? Yeah, what are those shields for? Stopping bugs from hitting the windscreen? If you look closely at my avatar pic, the old R32 GTR cop car has it too.

Ive had my 32 GTR for a few months and have replaced the ECU in it. Not too sure if thats a common problem with the 32's, but i know the Air Flow Meters are a fairly common problem. Engines are also getting old, and would probably be looking at a rebuild, especially if theyve been thrashed or driven uber hard in their liftime. Hopefully you find a car that the previous owner has already taken care of most of the problems the car may have had. This way you dont have to deal with many of them down the track. My knowledge with this vehicle is still very low sorry. Hope it helps though.

hr31gtsnt, a mate of mine just told me that he saw someone driving the red skyline of yours and it had a cracked front bumper and spare wheel on it? Just wondering If this was actually your vehicle that he saw or maybe someone elses.

Few Questions Regarding My R 32 Gtr
edspaged2 replied to adam_lateshift's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
If you have a switch that cuts power for the front wheels, then why do anything else? A GTR for drifting. tsk tsk tsk. I thought people bought GTR's for the excellent handling capabilities, speed and most importantly, its great history in the world of motorsport -
OMG. You cant be serious. I dont mean to shame you out but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Sorry but that has got to be the most stupid question up here on SAU. To answer it though, you can buy fuses at fuel stations, hardware shops and car parts shops. They cost next to nothing. cheap cheap very very cheap. long time. love fuse long time

R32 Front Hydraulic Spoiler Factory Option
edspaged2 replied to WAN73D's topic in General Maintenance
Hydraulic front spoilers? Never heard of em. do you have any pics of this? -
plug the globes in, then put them back in the headlight fixture. This should earth it. If you try and turn the lights on with the globe dangling out it wont work, but if you plug it in it will. If this still aint working check the light switch out. it might be screwed?

Go to a good typre shop and get them to check your wheel weights. get them balanced just like what RANDY said. And one other thing, you need to take english and grammar lessons.
-
legend mate!!! thanks for your help BH_SLO32. Exactly what i was after.
-
No one? Any sites someone knows where they have the picture of the ECU diagram?
-
If they said its going to take a month for the kit to get here, why will you have no car to drive?

My Car Is Going Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
edspaged2 replied to lexbomb's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sounds like a problem ive got at the moment. it only happens with me sometimes though. not all the time. I put it into diagnostic mode and came up with the codes 12 and 21. 12 being the AFM's and 21 being the ignition. Im gettin around to it today. you know how to put it into diagnostic mode right? i would explain how but ICBF sorry. go to this site http://www.overflow.250x.com/ then click on "sky is the limit" on the side. there it will tell you how to diag your car. -
clutch methinks. Does your engine start fine even after it stalls? Does your engine sound like its running bad?
-
mmmm mmmmm, yummy yummy rice. They look alright on some skylines. Mind you, theyre the ones i see in performance mags or on jap sites. But all the ones ive seen on the road they look like utter shite. Mags you could go blind just by staring, stickers, clear tail lights. IMO the factory stock wings look excellent.

Hey people, once again Ive been looking at the R32 GTR pdf manual and i cant seem to make out the numbers referring to the ECU. The picture is very blurry anyway. i want to install a killswitch in my car and i need to know which wire is the ignition. If any one happens to have an ECU diagram for the R32 GTR it would be much appreciated if they post it up. Ive searched on google which always leads to dead links and cant find a previous thread of this topic on this site. thankyou!

There are plenty of threads on how to clean the AFM's. But, alot of people seem to use brake cleaner. Ive used it in the past and seems fine.

try www.fulllock.com/superhappy theyve got some pretty random stuff there. and try some parts shops like d1garage.com, justjap.com but if your after brand newies, your gonna have to fork out the $113
-
Yep, Meguirs products. All the way! And dont wax your car in the sun or when the panels are hot. wax in the shade under your garage. But we all know that anyways

Thanks people, I'll get around to it soon. sourced a nismo thermostat

QUOTE: The top tank is actually clipped/clamped on, they are rather difficult to repair after 13-17 years of use. My suggestion would be to buy a replacement radiator They dont fix the top tank if it has a crack, hole or split in it. They REPLACE it. Ive seen it done mate. Dont worry about buying radiator. Once the top tank is replaced you wont have to worry about it for the next many years to come. Just worry about the bottom one lol. The tank may cost you about 120 bucks, then all up about 180 including the labour. I had the top tank replaced on my 180sx a few months back. The radiator comes in about three pieces. the top tank, the core and the bottom tank.
