Ok my R32 recently started handling different, It seems to bounce alot after hitting a bump and makes driving it a pain. I am thinking it is the rear shocks would anybody else have any idea if this is the issue? Also if it is the rear shocks I was looking at upgrading coilovers to Tein Super Street. The car doesn't see the track at all but I plan on doing some track days in the future so seeing as though it is mainly a road car I was wondering if people could give me some opinions on the Super Street and the kind of Spring Rating I would need for our crappy roads. Also if you have some better idea's on coilovers for around the same price could you please post them up. Thank You. Adz

What Would A Jeremy Clarkson Review Of My Car Be Like?
Triptych replied to pontiff's topic in General Automotive Discussion
would he really refer it to a "Playstation thing" considering they did an episode with him trying to beat his fatest lap around a track (can't remember which one) on Gran Turismo compared to Real Life. Good read though -
I have had it for ages but haven't played it much. So I can't really help out too much. Did you buy the Japanese or Asian Version? I have the Asian version so it has some english instructions with it (not alot) and this is all it says about the cards. Card System: There are two types of cards: ABILITY cards that you equip to improve car abilities and STATUS cards that have an effect simply by possessing them. Slots: Slots are where you equip ABILITY cards. Equipping an ABILITY card in a slot activates the card's effect, thereby improving the performance of the car. *Note that the cards you equip here will affect all cars in all modes.

My personal opinion only and I was never really a huge fan of painted rims. But my rule of thumb is never Match the same colour of the car when doing the rims. I think black cars with black rims look tacky UNLESS they have decent dish which is polished. I like white rims on blue cars (even though my car currently has silver/grey rims on it). Gold Rims are always a NO in my book no matter what colour the car is. The only colour car which it doesn't matter matching colour is prolly silver cars as polished rims look good on them and most coloured rims don't.

Sorry I haven't check here for a little bit but I will help you out the best I can. If you are getting a console with Backwards Compatablity you will only be able to play US release PS1 and PS2 as they are region locked. DVD's are also region locked so no playback of Australian DVD's. PS3 games are multi-region so you can play PS3 games released anywhere in the world. Blu-Ray Movies some are region locked and some are not, You best off ordering US version of Blu-Ray movies to be on the safe side. I would say that would be most of your problems, PAL VS NTSC isn't really a problem in this day and age. You already mentioned the power issues. Another thing the Warrenty may not be valid in Australia.

OK I own a PS3 (Have had it since the midnight launch) now a couple of things you should know. I have told people to hold off buying a PS3 because of the lack of B/C in the new 40gb models but after last night I did come to reliese that BC isn't really that important if you work out the facts. BC seems like an important feature if you have owned a PS2 (from my memory the 40gb can still play PS1 games please correct me if I am wrong) and if you have owned then you should have your PS2 still sitting near the TV so you won't really need to play them on the PS3. Lack of memory card reader and 2 USB slots isn't really a major issue either as you can pick up an external usb box for rather cheap and just run a USB Memory card reader. The other arguement over PS3 and 360 is that 360 has alot more games then the PS3 due to being released first blah blah blah. Ok your right there is alot more games on 360 but how many of those are actually good games? Just like the PS2 library of games there maybe alot of them but there not all good just like the 360. Im not saying every game on the PS3 is great but I do own over 13 games and haven't regretted the money spent on them yet. Next up is the controller, I have never been a fan of the Xbox controller for the simple fact to me it looks like a rip off of the Dreamcast controller and even though I love the Dreamcast controller I prefer a controller to remind me of the console I am playing. In regards to the PS3 controller being light yes the current Sixaxis controller is pretty light but Rumble is coming as I already have a DualShock 3 in my hands (which I ordered from play-asia) and that adds some weight to the controller and I must admit the added weight feels like a nice balance in the hands. System reliability is a major thing in this generation and everybody knows of the 360 RROD (Red Ring Of Death) and you only need to goto xbox forums to know that it does happen but you goto a PS3 forum and you will have trouble finding alot of people having to return there console due to it being broken. Some PS3's will fail and as I mentioned I have mine since launch night here and still no problems there was an article released a few months about failure rates on both consoles and I am unsure if these numbers are confirmed reports (remember this article is a little old so Microsoft could have got their act together) but it was saying the 360 had around a 33% failure rate where as the PS3 and Wii were under 1%. Blu-Ray VS HD-DVD well right now it doesn't really matter it is not like DVD's are going to stop being made anytime soon but in my opinion the fact that Sony use Blu-Ray as its game storing device is a good thing compared to the 360 still using standard DVD. Higher storage space is a good thing for the simple fact more things can be thrown on a disc which in return could be a longer game, uncompressed audio and so on and so forth. Now this is the bit that will annoy the hell out of anybody who just took the time to read all of this, I'm not going to say to buy a PS3 or a 360 I am going to say head down to your local gaming shop and play both the consoles and base your choice on which one you prefer.

How To Replace Hand Brake Handle R32gtr
Triptych replied to Mark0's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I did mention in another post that I couldn't pull the cover off like you are meant as there is flange near the bottom that mine wouldn't slide over (this is for a R32 GTS-T) so I ended up having to cut mine off. -
From my understanding after purchasing a car a few months ago your warrenty is paused from the time you return the car back to the car yard for repairs and starts again when it is back in your hands. So lets say you buy a car and drive it for a week and return it to the car yard for repairs and they take 2 weeks repair it. Even though you have owned the car for 3 weeks you have only used 1 week of your warrenty due to the other 2 weeks of it being back at the car dealer getting repaired.

Leather R32 & Cefiro Gear & Hand Brake Boots Group Buy
Triptych replied to pablo101's topic in Group Buys
gzilla I am happy to see my guide helped you out abit. I dunno if I mentioned in my walkthrough about it being for the Handbrake boot not the gear stick boot . It's good to see you have added pictures as well as I didn't think to take photos when I installed mine so good work on adding the photos. The gearstick boot is very easy to install really no bending involved you just have to get it sit in the clips and your all done. It will take you about 2 minutes to do, if you want I can go and rip my gearboot out and take some photos and do a quick write up for you. Edit I noticed Pablo said about just pulling the gearstick boot towards yourself I personally wouldn't recommand this as you have a High chance of breaking the clips. The easiest way is pulling out your ash tray and sticking your hand in and down towards where the surround for the gear boot is. You should feel near the center of the gear stick surround a clip that you can push towards the gearstick and it will undo the 2 clips on that end of the surround you can then pull the surround out. -
Haha soon there is going be a SAU war between the R32 drivers and the R33 drivers But in the end the R34 owners would drive past knowing that they win the battle anyway. Even though in my post I expressed my opinion about not being thrilled about the body shape of the R33 (I believe I said it reminds me of a commodore or falcon ) to see that some other R32 owners feel the same way basically sums up this post. Even though some people are asking the same amount of money for a R32 then a R33 alot of the time the price will be talked down (it is the same story with R33 prices) and if you factor in import costs and such people aren't really making that much money from selling a R32 for around 12k (which is commonly the going price after talking down the price). Whenever a car is advertise people always add a couple of grand on top of what they are expecting to recieve it is not because they are "Dreamers" it is basically because they know people will try to talk them down in price which is what almost always happens and at the end the day the seller gets the amount they wanted and the buyer gets the feel good about themself for being able to knock off some money from the purchase price. Which is why you should always try to knock off some money from a car unless you are happy to pay the amount that it is advertised for. At the end of the day we all love our skylines no matter what model it is and I think the R32 has hit its baseline for a little while now and prolly wont be pushed down too much further. R33's are now getting cheaper because of there age and with R34's getting older pushing there prices down which in return pushes R33 prices down. I still remember not too long ago (a couple of years) when a R32 GTS-T common price was around 17k and a R33 GTS-T was 24k and I believe at that time the R34 GT-T was chasing around 40k. Now look at your prices R32 GTS-T 10-12k, R33 (12-17k) and R34 GT-T(25-30k).

I didnt say it will happen in the next year. We are looking at FUTURE prices. I am talking 15 years and more here

Ok I have been skyline owner for about 8 months now. With the money I had I could of got a R33 or a R32. I decided on the R32 because personally the shape of the R33 doesn't really appeal to me. To me a R33 is just as plain looking as Commodore or Falcon whereas the R32 pulls off the sports car look alot better and that is what I see the skyline as, A japanese sports car. I have been a fan skylines for years and just the look of the R33 lets me down. Everytime I look in the garage and see the R32 sitting there it puts a smile on my face, when I see a R33 it just doesn't have the same appeal. As for prices the dealership was asking 15k for mine and I got it $12000 as the final price (including all costs) and even sent it back to get some things repaired (Eg gearbox mount). If we were talking future prices in Australia and not only GTS-T I believe the models that will gain the most in value in the future will be R32 GTR's because of the racing history they have here and R34 GTR's because it is really the last model of the Skyline GTR. For the book people R32 is the start of a book it is where Nissan went in a new direction with Skyline name, R34 is the end of the book and boy did it end well and well the R33 is the middle of the book that nobody can really be bothered to read. *Puts on flame proof suit because alot of R33 owners are gonna be mad at my comments*

Sorry Beer I will accept late tonight after work. I have been playing alot of COD4 online and haven't touched warhawk since getting COD4. I need a break from COD4 so warhawk it will be for awhile.
-
it was the only way I could get mine off. There is a flared bit down the bottom and we just couldn't get it to move over it.
-
I know this isn't the exact same problem as you but with my old gemini when I changed it over to electronic ignition it sent the after market tacho crazy. The ignition book mentioned it needed some form stabalizer kit for to give proper tacho reading. Maybe talk to an auto elec.
-
You talking about the gripbit on the handbrake? In other words the bit you hold onto? If so they are meant to pull off but I couldn't get mine to move on my R32 so we ended up cutting it off. It is really tight at the bottom.

Here is how mine look after getting a set off Pablo101. This is on a R32 though but I doubt there would be much difference. Great guy to deal with, You won't have any troubles with him.

Dont make me bust out my Skyline car collection Its not much but it gets me through the day So funny you mention those Charge G cars mark cause I was chasing them for ages but never found them. They had the swapable engines and gears right? You could set the up for drift and all sorts of stuff.
