You Might Wana Park Your Skyline Up For A While :)
Triptych replied to BANGN's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My friends girl friend is a manager for BP and I will talk to her about all this over the weekend see if she can confirm or deny anything. If I remember correctly I believed she mentioned something a few years ago about BP getting oil from singapore but I could be wrong. -
Josh your lap doesn't count because I knew you would do that, Having a better lap time ready for when I finally beat yours. I spent about 4 days trying to break 4'30 mark and that lap that I did it on was luck I think. Now you expect me to even better it again. I should disqualify you for have a 180sx in your name and nothing to do with skylines Back to track over the weekend for me, I pick up my puppy tomorrow so hopefully he wont try to steer the car for me.

Ok you guys had me working hard on this. My worse corners are the Hairpin and shacane (mind the spelling its late). I have got those corners a little better now and I had times around low to mid 4'30 put didn't want to post till I was number one again . I mastered the first corner in 4th and second corner in 3rd which shaved off the extra time I needed plus getting my worse corners better. This is still with the sixaxis as the table for my G25 is currently getting built. Ready to rise to the challange? Car:GTR 07 Front Tyres: R3 Rear Tyres: R3 Complete Time: 4'29.595

Not the greatest pic but here is my R32

I think I have worked out the top reasons people get skylines 1. Performance 2. After Market Parts 3. Body Styling (unless you own a R33 ) 4. Fast and Furious 5. They think it will pick up chicks.....
-
I will prolly be sourcing my 100 000km parts from Kudos Motorsports (Sponser on here) as they have different kits for what you want to replace. I would recommand sourcing your parts from a sponser and then getting your mechanic of choice to install. I think each state needs a recommanded workshop sticky in each of their forums covering body, mechanical, suspension etc...

make a japanese account if you need more help PM me and I will send you all the info you need. Once you have downloaded the demo it will available on all your accounts on your PS3. Remember the demo is only available till early november if i remember correctly.

Leather R32 & Cefiro Gear & Hand Brake Boots Group Buy
Triptych replied to pablo101's topic in Group Buys
thats ok pablo. I was a member of one of the earlier group buys on these so I am more then willing to help out where I can. I could't believe how much better my interior looked after something simple as replacing the handbrake and gearstick boot. Here is a better picture -
well if you looked at the template I provided I did ask for people to post what tyres they are using
-
Sorry about that ABS stuff up, Don't ask me what I was thinking. Also leaderboard has been updated and is now supplied with times next to the name so people don't have to look through the posts to find out what the current top 3 times are. I haven't had much of a chance to play GT but hopefully I will get some time over the weekend. Still need to build the table setup for my G25 so once thats done expect my laptimes to come down alot Beer baron I think most of your time is lost in in the first lap. 2"12's are around about what I am running on my second lap. Be brave into the first corner you should be able to over take at least one car going into it.
-
you better slow down tiger, a few more laps and your gonna be upto my speed

Hey Guys, Just wanted to let you guys know that All About Steering and Suspension on Moss Street has just finished developing some Front Upper Bushes (I think that is what they are called) and I just had them installed on my car with their camber kit as well. The quality of the products seem great and I have noticed the car feels better and drives straighter on the road after getting my work done there today so I just thought I would give you guys a heads up on a workshop that I highly recommand. So if you are looking at getting some suspension stuff done give them a try. My car will be back down there next week sometime to get the rear balljoints and tie rod ends installed. Nice bunch of guys and great quality work. Cheers.

Looking forward to your times beer baron... Lets just hope your not drink driving in a the GTR 07

I worked out I am happy some of the people on the playstation forums don't own skylines. Fastest lap one guy pulled off was in the 2'07's so I would hate to think his total time. I have added you to top 3 josh just bescause only 3 people have posted in here

Leather R32 & Cefiro Gear & Hand Brake Boots Group Buy
Triptych replied to pablo101's topic in Group Buys
For people having trouble installing the handbrake boot because they come flat not pre-bent this is what I did to fit it to my R32 GTS-T 1. Take old handbrake boot out. 2. Push leather inwards on old handbrake boot and sit the new boot on top. 3. You should now have the metal from the old boot and new boot sitting on top of each, Make sure it is lined up evenly. 4. Push the metal on the new boot at the same bend in the old boot so they are both bent at the same place. 5. Keep adding pressure to the metal on the new boot so after the bend it is touching the metal of the old boot. 6. Put them side to side to make sure they are bent in same place on the same angel etc, and fine tune as needed. I know its a little hard to understand without pictures but seriously if you think about it, it is only a 2 minute job. Here is how mine turned out (sorry about the bad apperture and focus on the steering wheel). -
I have added the No Cutting Corners to it but it will be abit hard to enforce considering we can't really expect people to show footage of there races.

Alright guys seeing as though most of the cars have been unlocked now I thought I would open this up for the best times you get around the whole circuit. I would like photo evidence as well considering most people should have some form of a digital camera now. Listed below are the rules and best top 3 times will be listed here. 1st: Josh_TypeX 4'29.496 2nd: Triptych 4'29.595 3rd: MADGT4 4'31.198 RULES Car Setup Manual Professional (Last option in the drop down) ASM - Off Traction Control - 0 Front and Rear Tyres are your choice NO CUTTING CORNERS!! When posting complete circuit times please use this template: [insert Image Here] Car: Front Tyres: Rear Tyres: Complete Time: Here is my best from about 5 races today and an example of the template in use. Car:GTR 07 Front Tyres: R3 Rear Tyres: R3 Complete Time: 4'33.212

the black masked was locked well taken off the new unmasked version should be released sometime today.

I wasn't a big fan of the prototype but I must admit I do like the outcome of the new GTR. Still a shame that it just doesn't seem aggresive like the R32/R33/R34 but times are changing and I think nissan is onto a good thing. I wonder if I can take one for a test drive even though I would never be able to afford just the bonnet.
-
if it is delivered in 08 makes no difference, It comes down to the build plate on it which may say 07.
-
I think we should do add best times in here as well.

If it was only skylines and no other import effected I would prolly have a 180sx. If it was no to imports I would have finished my TX Gemini Coupe project done by now. You would be suprised how well a Gemini handles just the power that lets it down but that can be fixed.
