  1. If you want to do something in spare time there is a place called New York Institute Of Photography that does courses by corressponse (mind the spelling). The lessons are sent on DVD but so far the digital lessons are smaller lessons compared to the film one. Most techniques from Film photography carry over to digital photography. The biggest difference between film and digital I can think of (beside media used) is the technique of getting your white balance right. Also you have to send your tests (written and photos) and they will send you back an audio cassette from each test explaining why they marked you like they did and what you could have done better etc. You get one teacher that lasts your entire course.
  2. Hahaha yeah some of these things I didn't find out till after the sale. I managed to knocked a decent amount off the list price so its not to bad. Most of the problems are interior related. Here is a picture of it. I know alot you hate VS kits but I love them. The car is going to get alot of love and I love my license too much to do anything stupid on the street. I am trying to get the minor stuff all fixed up then after I have paid my personal loan back it will be modding time. Also I noticed the Radiator has a Silver Calsonic sticker on it.... Is this normal?
  3. Alright posted the parts I need in the classifieds. Any idea on a good workshop in the Logan area to get work done to the car?
  4. Hey guys I am chasing some parts for my R32, I hope some of you guys can help me out. Car: 92 R32 GTS-T Coupe Parts Needed: Drivers side air vent (the small circle on located on top of the dash. Mark maybe able to help me out.) UPDATED 22nd August
  5. Hey guys well I picked up my R32 GTS-T R32 Skyline (Coupe) today and lets just say it has been hell. On the way home I found out that the Fuel Guage doesn't work as it told me I had 1/4 tank of fuel but low and behold I had none and was stuck on the side of road but luckily there was servo just down the street abit. Basically I am looking for some good mechanics in the logan area (even down on moss street in slacks creek) so I can get this fuel guage problem fixed. Also a good place to get a clutch changed as the car has a 3 button clutch in it and lets just say thats a little out of me league for my first skyline so I am looking at getting it replaced with just a heavy duty clutch. Ok reason for the wreckers is I need a couple of little bits and pieces such as Reverse light lenses, front passanger side door trim (the one on it is a little screwed). Also just a few other interior bits and pieces. Also does anybody know how much Window Rubbers would be for it as they could do with replacing as well. I was told the aircon needed fixing before I got the car but after purchase of the car was informed there is no Air Con stuff at all under the bonnet and they gave me the card for Option 1 Garage and said they should be able to do replace the air con for me. If I didn't get this car for a decent price I would be pretty annoyed but thats alright I will get it feeling the way I want soon. So if anybody can help me out please let me know. Also if anybody is selling any of these parts let me know so I can help support other Skyline drivers. All parts are for a R32 GTS-T Coupe Front Passanger Side Door Trim (Good condition) Center Vents for dash (good condition) Door Window Seals (good condition) Glove Box (if I can manage to fix mine, It wont stay up after I opened it). Also if anybody is interested in the 3 button clutch that is getting removed send me a PM as I am getting it changed.
  6. Alright I have been into photography for awhile so some of these images were taken a film SLR and some with a Digi SLR. Once I get my skyline I will be sure to update this thread with images of it. There is alot more images then posted from each car event but don't wanna sit and upload all day. Word of warning, DIAL UP PEOPLE WILL NOT LIKE THIS. Indy 2006 (I have alot of photos from indy but here is a short list. Also alot of images that the mods might not enjoy me posting) The Mustang Shelby my uncle built. Drift Nats Round 2 2005 (Queensland) Misc Images Alright I think that will do for now.
  7. Yep Beer Baron is right now here is what he said in 3 easy steps. 1. PS3 Games there are NO region codes. 2. Blu Ray DOES have region coding. 3. PS1, PS2 and DVD DOES have region coding.
  8. In regards to the japanese PSP as long as the language is set to english and your playing games that support english you won't have a problem. Another thing to remember about the japanese games is that here in Australia "X" is used to confirm and "O" is used to cancel. The japanese ones are reversed "X" is back and "O" is confirm. If you are playing an Australian game then it will be setup for Australia but as I mentioned if you play a Japanese game then the confirm and cancel buttons are reversed. Also if I remember correctly the PSP doen't support AVI files you will need to convert your movies to mp4 (I think) there is plenty of free programs to convert them for you.
  9. If you haven't already I would suggest also posting this on www.ozgemini.com I am getting rid of my gemini and replacing it with a R32 soon
  10. New Units, New Storyline, Better Graphics etc etc. Its the style of the game play that is the same. Judging by your logic then no first person shooter is better then another one because it is basically the same gameplay. Also no car game is better because your still driving cars...... Its the new features and in this sort of game the new storyline that makes it so good. Also updated graphics is always nice.
  11. Well that is basically the point of C&C. At least they didn't make it another First Person Shooter like Renegade.
  12. I will second that. THE GAME IS GREAT!!! I have been a C&C fan for years and you are right it is good to have the movie cut scenes again instead of those crappy 3d cut scenes EA killed Generals and Zero Hour with. Also as an added bonus the girl from House MD is in it and that is worth buying it if nothing else is.....
  13. I have already looked into alarms with 3 point immobilser on them. It is going to be purchased hopefully next week so I will have it ready for the car. I am not going working tomorrow so it will be more time for car hunting.

    Wanted!

One thing to remember if you check out the stats of a Cannon EOS 350D compared to a Cannon EOS 20D there isn't much difference between them at all. The 20D does offer some better specs in areas that you won't really use if you are just doing photography as a hobby. I am with everybody else here get a Cannon EOS 400D or a 350D. I use a 350D at indy last year and actually prefered it over the EOS 20D as it is easier to hold and nowhere near as bulky. When it comes to picking a camera don't just go and spend money on one just because it is cheaper. Find one that is going to suit your needs because you may find the cheaper one doesn't offer the performance of one abit more expensive and you will find yourself updating your camera. Also another thing to remember if you are in the market for a tripod as well dont just buy a cheap tripod, buy a decent one straight away because one great tripod should last you a life time. I say 400D or 350D for the win because it will last you ages and even thought the MP count on camera seems to be going up all the time I still find the images produced from a 350D pretty good.
  15. yeah i have been looking through the forums as well
  16. Yeah Import Auto Center is just down the road from me. I haven't had the time to see what stock they have. If I found a R32 with a Veilside kit on it with decent KM's that was a nice colour I would be happy but considering not alot of people like the VS kit I don't like my chances. I am trying not to jump into this purchase and looking at as many cars as I can. I have wanted a R32 for years now and I don't want my first experiance to be a bad one.
  17. If the paint isnt broken or anything look into Paintless Dent Removal. There is plenty of mobile guys that do it.
  18. I would love a R32 GTR but until I win to lotto so I can keep it on the road that wont happen
  19. Ok I have found a R32 that I like but I haven't got a price on it yet and it does have a couple of issues. It is at a dealer ship and has just been imported and there is a couple of things wrong with. I am thinking about going back to have another look at it and talk to them more about it next week to find out what sort of deal they can do for me. It has a small pindent in the rear quarter (I have been looking into paintless dent removal), front bar needs a respray and is missing the fuel flap but I will make sure one is added with the car if I go through with it. I was thinking I might be able to save some money by telling them not to touch up the front bar (its a veilside bar) and not worry about the pindent and just put a fuel flap on and I will get it colour matched when i get the front bar sprayed. Also the Rims have scuff marks as well. It is a 92 R32 GTS-T manual. I haven't check the km's on it and that will be another deciding factor but based on what was listed as being being problems and if I choose the fix the Rims, Pindent, Respray front bar and fuel flap. Just wondering how much people would think a fair price with the issues would be?
  20. Yeah, I have been a PS fan for ages as well. Once I heard about the PS3 and after watching the videos and such I just really want the console to try it out. I guess you can say I am abit geeky when it comes to this sort of thing. If you pre-order from one harvey norman store in queensland it comes bundled with a free game of your choice and a spare controller. I have been saving my penies since march last year and I now have enough money to cover my pre-order. Next I need to save up for my new TV.
  21. True it would be but added injuries that could be sustained from them I think is the reason behind the law. Same sort of deal with wings. I don't know what happened to this technology but some company was making a system where on a frontal impact it would slightly pop open the bonnet (the edge closest to the windscreen) to try and take away some of the force of the pedestrian hitting the windscreen. When I saw that I just pictued all the "testing gone wrong" where the back of the bonnet pops up sending the test dummy flying over the car
  22. Same reason I am going R32 over R33
  23. well alot of these laws are based on pedestrian safety. Some of them do seem stupid but even if we do argue a point alot of the time it falls of deaf ears. I currently drive a gemini which has bonnet pins and haven't had any issues from the police about them. I got in trouble for blue lights on the washer jets but they didn't say anything about the bonnet pins. Personally I prefer the look of a flush pin over the setup I have on the gemini, I like everything to flow nicely and with big pins sticking out of the bonnet isn't really my taste but that was all I could find when I built the gemini. I have learnt alot in visual modifications since I had my car and lets just say I am happy I learnt from alot of mistakes on the gemini and when the R32 comes hopefully it will come together alot better.
  24. If I remember correctly the pins aren't allowed to stick out on top of the bonnet. You need something that sits flush with the bonnet as it becomes a hazzard if you hit somebody.
  25. haha my pre-order for my ps3 is as follows 60 gig PS3 Ridge Racer Resistance Fall Of Man Tony Hawk F1 CE Motorstorm
