I was just wondering if anybody knew where I could hunt down some door hinges for a R32 GTS-T. I am looking at replacing all the door hinges because the I got the doors aligned from the body shop but they started to drop again within about a month or 2. Now the passenger door light keeps flashing on and off when driving and doesn't close completely (sitting flush with the car but it still holds closed). Also is GTS-T and GTR hinges the same? Cheers for the help in advanced

Your already down the gold coast so your best bet would be Dr Wheels. http://goldcoastalloywheelscustomrimrepairs.com/

that sucks man, all that work you put into them. Hope it all turns out.

do yourself a favour and get a different front bar. Looks like the AB style from car mate. http://www.carmate.com.au/product_details.php?productid=NSGTS91ABFB

Alright I don't know what the rules are in regards to posting photos from magazines so I will put them after this post so if a mod wants to delete them it can be done easily. Basically there its the cover story of AutoAction Magazine which is dated February 15-21. -
the video is still there, Search youtube for "another day in the woodz" and you see it there as the first video. Make sure you use the "z" instead of an "s".

man only just saw this post again. Man I'm in mount warren park and the skyline got back on the road yesterday so I could have parked in the carpark and waved to him. It would have be nice to put the bulbar from the 4x4 onto the skyline and ram his car as he went to leave
-
The funny thing is the truck looks like one from the people that live over the road from my parents. I wouldn't put it past them being involved either. On the upside though it was only a R33
-
If i'm not mistaken just doing some quick research around the net and it is looking to have a 1/4 mile of 12.5 whereas compared to stock R33 from factory ran about 14.4 which yeah I am sure a few mods will get you into the bracket with the Jag or the GTR boys will be right next to with only very few mods (32 GTR 1/4 mile time 13 seconds). Starting at $85 000USD I think the money would be better spent on a skyline which purchase cost plus the left over from the amount you spend on the Jag you would have not only a quicker but a sexier car.

man that is sexy. I want my LMGT3's done right now... Hmmm christmas bonus it might be spent on those
-
My car needs the 100k service so I think I will be hitting dan up in the new year.
-
Man they are coming up great. I really want my LMGT3's finished now but I have to get the car back on the road first. I have always been a bigger fan of Satan Black over Matt Black so I cant wait to see them on the car.
-
Nice info on the LMGT4's with regards to the lug nuts and yeah I did read about the McGard ones you can run its just the general rule of thumb is they have to be a 17mm head and not a 19mm or 21mm. You can also run I think they are called "Inverted" lug nuts where the actual tool goes into the head of the nut and not actually on the outside. I just preferred to order the nismo lug nuts because I knew they would work. We will need updated images when its done terry.
-
nismo lug nuts only come in black as far as I know. I have a set of the long ones here (50mm), When I ordered mine it was actually cheaper to order them from the USA then anywhere I could find in Japan. Also a little bit of randomness the Nismo lug nuts are still slightly heavier then the Rays (thats the long nismo lug nuts compared to the long rays) and I also think I saw somewhere that you shouldn't tighten them with a ratchet gun.
-
Why dont you order the flat center caps from nengun then get them coated to suit so at least you know its all the same shade. Im in the process of getting my LMGT3's cleaned up and stuff but will be running without caps due to not being able to source any and the LMGT4 cap setup looks completely different. The joys of LMGT rims having to run Nismo lug nuts because they are the only ones that fit, I have a wasted set of Rays lug nuts here now after finding out the hard way the 19mm head doesn't fit and it has to be 17mm.

To be honest I have found the VHT vinyl dye to be good. I used it on my gemini to respray the door trims when I had that and it lasted until I sold the car (a good 4-5 years) in the QLD sun with no peeling or anything, I have just touched up some of the interior of the R32 skyline with it as well.

The money you spend on the purchase price can sometimes reflect the money you spend on the maintenance price. But just wondering for the guys that have owned their cars for awhile now how often do you sit there and think "I only paid [insert dollar amount here] for this car"? I personally am thinking more along the lines of "What can I buy next for the car" but I have owned my 93 R32 GTS-T for almost 5 years now and in keeping with this thread the dealership wanted 16k for the car but I got it for 11k just because I told them I would fix paint on the front bar and some of the interior myself. If I could do it all again I would more then likely be speaking to Iron Chef about getting me a car from Japan because at the end of the day to buy a car locally at the same spec of some of the nicer imported ones you will be looking at the same costs anyway, But then again I would love to see you find a local car with a full log book as well.

Just a quick quote from the blits website. "BLITS is the first Australian company in Australia to manufacture street legal fibreglass bonnets, that made for federal regulation transport approval Australia wide". So it would appear they are approved for use in all states and not just QLD.
-
The supplier of Fibreglass bonnets with ADR approval is Blits Bodykits in QLD. I am unsure if there approval carries over to other states or not as I am unsure on how the whole process works. The website is http://www.blitsbodykits.com.au/

I would love to help out but I wouldnt know where to start writing a review

What Happens When Use A Clay Bar?
Triptych replied to Hadouken's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
how well does it stick? I have had issues with the carbon wrap I ordered (different supplier) and firstly it doesn't stick too well around edges and now its starting the shrink where I used heat to mould it -
I would think step 1 would be getting a template sorted for all reviews to follow. I think it works better if all reviews basically look the same (in layout terms) which will make it easier for the not only the person doing the review to make sure they aren't missing important info but also for others viewing the review so they have quick access to areas they consider important before reading the full review (eg Review summary, star rating, pros and cons etc). I would also look into some form of Disclaimer stating the review is only the opinion of the person who has written the review and the situations they encountered, Opinions and Situations vary so SAU takes no liability if things turn out differently in your situation compared to the reviewers. Always best to cover your arse but your disclaimer can just be a footer on every review.

Even with a lack of location Depulu will arrange a courier to pick them up and also send them back. http://www.depuluwheels.com/index.html
