  2. well, cause i thought 7psi was the stock boost for rb20det and 12psi is like the safe max limit for boost thats why i was a bit worried, thought running 12psi on a fairly stock r32 will shorten my engine life, but since you guys say its ok i guess i have nothing to worry about. thanks for the reply guys ryan

  5. hi guys drive an 89 r32 skyline running hks evc III SI ebc (internal wastegate) greddy boost gauge as i heard 1kg/cm2 = 14psi? one odd thing i found out was it runs boost at 0.90kg/cm2 which is roughly 12psi? with the ebc taken out when i reset the ebc, it reads .84 which is roughly 11.7psi? as the stock boost and would not boost any lower is it possible to lower the boost possibly back to 7psi? or are my boost conversions wrong? any help/advice would be much appreciated thanks ryan
  6. hi guys, my ride is an 89 skyline r32 with the following mods: blitz cat back exhaust aftermarket ms air flow resetter k&n air filter hks evc III SI ebc set at 12psi which has been taken out atm ive noticed my cars been eating alot of fuel even though, i don't floor it or travel far. but i have noticed one odd thing when i jump on the freeway i was travelling at 100kph on 5th gear and the rev meter shows 2500-3000 rpm!!! in a 60km zone i have to be in 5th gear as well or else the rpm will be too high = more petrol wasted think i'm running roughly 15Lt/100kms? and trust me im no lead foot wot do you guys think i should do? cleaning the afm and air filter is what i have in mind right now, is it a good idea or wot else should i be considering any help would be appreciated thanks ryan
  7. hi guys, i have a jvc headunit atm running 2 150watt 6.5" mtx tdx6502 2 way speakers with NO speakers in the front atm got a 2 ch cadence amp in the boot which combination would you guys reccommend?: 1.put new 6x9s in the rear and chuck the 6.5"s in the front, which is going to need alot of customising with mdf ( after reading a few threads in the forum) and get a new subs later 2.just leave the 6.5"s in the rear and buy new subs? buy front splits later i normally jam up rnb and techno (which needs ALOT of bass) any help will be appreciated thanks in advance guys ryan
  8. lol first of all thx guys for ur replies from your replies im looking at: chucking the car on dyno. adjustable cam gears - exhaust and inlet dump/front pipe turbotech controller ecu remap and ask a friend to drive it for me lack of stroke/bore? is there anyway to improve this without changing the engine? so should i do all of the above?? man looks like im gota save up for a while...juz paid off my insurance again thx for the help guys lol s2k12 i woulda got a gtr but im only on my Ps bro p.s guys how much kms u guys getting from ur car?? ive noticed my cars got very bad economy
  9. hi guys, im driving an 89 r32 gtst which is fairly stock with the following mods: greddy cat back exhaust k&n air filter ms air flow meter stock boost ( tried running the car at 12psi, but didnt feel much difference except for the lag?) the problem with car is when i floor it, it doesnt really seem to go the accelerator pedal doesnt seem to be very responsive at all like it will go and you can slightly feel the boost but you wont feel the rush as much as say a 180 or a wrx the car also lacks low end response i know its a 17 yr old car and heard its very common amongst r32s but would you guys recommend any mods to fix this? or could it be a problem with the car itself? any help would be much appreciated thanks
  10. first of all thanks for replies guys my mate took it for a drive today, change to the right tyre pressure, chuck in the boost controller.. seems to run fine now ill probably get it checked and and dynoed by mechanic to be safe thanks alot of the help/replies guys..

  12. hi guys just got my r32 last friday 89 r32 gtst, fairly stock only mods are k&n air filter and blitz 3 inch cat back and a silly amount of gauges apparently wen it hit 60.. on about 4,000 rpm in 3rd gear.. it started to shake and wouldnt go up.. until it shook for about 3 seconds then it continued previous owner had a boost controller running which was taken out for rwc wondering what could be the problem. any help would be much appreciated cheers ryan
  13. just wanted to ask you guys is it normal for an r32 oil gauge light on when the engine is off?? cause my oil gauge lights up whenever engine is off and the oil gauge light goes off whenever engine is on is this normal guys? help would be much appreciated cheers
