My turbo finally arrived. Its a Gt3071RR .82 A/R coupled with high mount and tial gate. Other supportings mods are tomei Fuel pump, Nismo 480cc injectors, Sard regulator, tomei cams, Power fc etc.. It seems to me that the L pipe that has the factory BOV attached just before the intake manifold will casue a problem when installing my turbo and highmount. I think it's slighty bigger then the R33's. That means it will need to be removed and have custom piping done which I need anyways. My question is if the standard intercooler piping which runs across the engine bay can no longer be used, how would i go about fabricating a new desgin?. I've seen a few R33 designs where the piping runs from the intercooler and up and around the top of the engine. But on the NEO i dont think thats possible because the layout is abit different and very limited space. Correct me if im wrong. My other option is the Greddy plenum but i heard that is doesnt fit the Neo engine. Any idea what needs to be done to make it fit? Or is there another way around this?

Ive got a GT3040R for my Neo... The turbo has a 4" inlet diameter.. Since the Z32 afm is 80mm and the Q45 is 90mm.. Would it make more sense to go for the larger one and hence be less restrictive? My power goal is 300rwkw. Even with the Q45, it is still 10mm smaller then the inlet size. Would this make much difference in power? How would the exhuast shop go about fabricating my inlet piping? Use 4" pipe and silicone hose reduces for the AFM? cheers

fair enough....yeah the exhaust system is 3.5" after cat...So it woud be a good idea to get a bigger cat to match aswell?

I have a exsisting xforce turbo back set up. The dump and front pipe in one is 3 inch. Since im getting a high mount set up, I need new ones fabricated in 3.5inch. Any idea as to how much this will cost? Also the cat is three inch so should i get a larger size too? Im thinking of just hollowing it out instead

Would a 3" turbo back exhaust be enough to handle 300rwkw from a Rb25DET? Or 3.5"?
-
can the 040 handle 300rwkw?

since i got cams, prob .6 a/r...dunno dont watch light switch as my gf loves my car too!!! and she always driving it hard!! I surpose the smaller a/r wont choke at that power levels??

Power goal is 280-300rwkw from Neo. All supporting mods including tomei 260 cams, power fc, pump and injectors. ebay option 4 .82 A/R together with highmount and 38mm tial wastegate. Any idea as to when it will start to spool and peak? Would the smaller .63 A/R be too snappy? Any help greatly appreciated as I have all parts sitting in my living room and just cant decide which turbo and specs to get?

what turbo and specs do u recommened for power goal of 280rwkw?

cheers for the input...Any feedback is good

what you guys reckon ??? Will it be " street friendly " ? or light switch?

Power Goal 280rwkw From A Neo

r they relli that lound? -
My target is 280rwkw from my R34 GTT. Turbo that will be used is GT3071R (90T) along with all other supporting mods including power fc and tomei cams. My question is if the bosch 040 will be sufficient enough to supply the fuel through the 480cc nismo injectors? If not will i have to upgrade to the external 044 ( dont want the nosie) or can i just get a pressure regulator?
-
Thinking of swapping over to a high mount coupled with a GT3071R. What needs to be done or changed to get this combo to fit? Duznt look like theres alot or room!

Im looking at the 280-290rwkw out of my NEO. I have all supporting mods ( pump, injectors, power fc etc) including tomei 260 cams. GT3071R 430-450hp (84T) turbine- 56.5mm w/84 trim housing .86 a/r Comp- 71mm w 56 trim housing- .50a/r $1700 GCG 450ho highflow $1950 I know that the GT will end up costing more due to other mods needed for install but i would like feedback on each turbo and which would be better suited for my application. I surpose the GT will be more laggy then the GCG but any idea was to when the GT will start to spool and hit peak boost.

how about gcg hi flow. Rated at 450hp and approx 1900 delivered. No need to do any other mods as it will bolt straigh back on. A few other members have them on their R34 and pushing past 260rwkw with cams

With a bosch 040 pump and pressure regulator, what is the max power the standard injectors can handle? cheers
-
Can anyone give feedback on the KKR range of turbos from otomoto?
-
Just finished doing a manual converstion using a R33 gearbox.. Will i have any problems running a power fc? Or have to go with e-manage? Also my Avc-r is reading .8 bar but my apexi gauage is reading 1bar! Which one shud i go with?

I've been hearing that the Neo engines can only crank out around 240rwkw on stock internals due to compression setup...Surely this is a load of crap huh? Its the last of the RB25DET... Engineered to perfection. If any, it should be able to pump out more then the R33.. My aim is for 350wrhp on stock internals. Does having a oil cooler help with reliability or is it only for track? Also geting a head gasket to lower the comp help much either in terms of reliabilty?? Or is it only needed for extreme boost levels?
-
Thanks. I'm thinking of geting power fc, fuel pump, pressure regulator and some cam gears. Since it wont be leaning, there's relli no point upgrading the fuel system yet huh? Is there going to be much more gains with the fc and cam gears tuned on the dyno? Or shud I wait and get bigger turbo and injectors further down the track?

My R34 has basic mods. turbo back exhaust, intercooler, bov and CAI. I've noticed that when i give it some, especially in 1st, i can hear popping sounds towards redline. My friend thinks that its leainig out but how can it be? I havnt touched the boost and if any it might be a few psi more due to the exhaust. And to make things complicated, ever since i got SSQV, it back fires alot. Only thing i can fink of is it's running rich due to the excessive being released.

I have a R34 with 3'' turbo back exhaust, intercooler and CAI. I just got myself a AVC-R. Can the Neo turbo's handle the same amount of boost as the R33 units? I've been researching and about the max is around .8, .9 bar. I only run quick spirited runs from the traffic lights. Would my fuel system be adequate enough or will it start to lean out? What is the fuel cut set at on the R34's?
