  2. apparently slidefx's rb25/30 neo is running tomei procams.......The lift of these cams are around 10mm aren't they?

  4. im going to get my workshop to see if it works. Im fully detailing and polishing my engine so want to swap to the metal 33 and polish it too.. That plastic 34 cas just looks crap
  5. they ended up drilling the head out to 13mm to use the studs instead. Creating that little extra space will allow abit more oil supply to the head during high rpm rev bounching

  8. For the people who have used them, did you use all 14? My builder told me that we could only use 12 out of the 14 due to 2 having to interfer with the oil galleries???? Suggested we replaced those two with standard ones. Im abit concerned as we pushing 2bar from a t04z and NOS.
  9. my builder told me today that we cant use all 14 arp headstuds. Apparenty the two for the middle of the head will cause oil gallery issues. So we going to opt to replace them with two standard ones instead. Has anyone used all 14 headstuds? This is for a NEO head onto a rb30 block. Im abit concerned as we going to push 2bar of t04z and NOS.
  10. i got quoted $1100 for a custom front/dump pipe. From a very well known performance shop here in perth. Sounds over priced to me. The actual workshop that is building my engine is also doing the turbo to cat job so might aswell get them to complete the job i guess. I dont know price wises, its something that needs to be done so do now and pay later agreement. Although i would rather have jap brand over custom and hence my orginal post. Any ideas as to what brand of muffler i should be using?

  12. i need to upgrade my system. Currently has xforce turbo back. Engine is fully built rb25/30 with to4z and 400+ rwkw. It will have custom turbo front/dump/cat gutted. Looking for a cat back system. Interested in the trust TR but cant seem to find a place that sells it. Otherwise i can get the trust power extreme 2. Which of these 2 would be ideal for my application? Sound loundness doesnt concern. Just want something that is non restrictive. Feedback appreciated

  14. i just ordered tein ss coils for my 34gtt. Can i still tweak and set them up for traction? Other mods will be R888's, rear camber kit, subframe brushes and hicas lock bar.
  15. thats interesting. what lift are your cams? As a matter of fact mine are GTR cams aswell. NEO head has similar solid lifter design to rb26. Cams are fully bolted in and head assembled with no problems. Apparently any lift bigger then 9.3 ish exposes the oil something or rather. Anyone know what kind of power levels the poncam can or have supported?
  16. other then having no lift available bigger then poncams 260 for NEO i was also told by spool who is using same head. Cant exactly remember how he explained but its the way the Head is design. You think they are too small?
  17. ive got poncams 260, lift 9.15mm. Using NEO head so can not go any larger. 8000rpm limit using t04z. Has port, poilsh etc done to head but standard valves. Im abit concerned about the cam size..
  18. ok so 90mm TB works out to be 3.6 inch. So either i go 3.5 or 3.75? Im incline to go with 3.5... .25 wont make a difference?
  19. im ready to order my ARE type 71 cooler. I just need to know what size in/out pipes to get. I have to4z which is 2.5 inch i belive and Q45 TB which is 90mm. So im assuming inlet is 2.5 and outlet is 3.5 or maybe even 3.75?? Please help
  20. had mine machined etc and even nitrided for good measure. Argo rods, ceramic coated cp pistons, jun pump and collar, ati balancer... All balanced. Setting rev limit to 8000rpm...although it will only be bounching at that over the dyno..I think street tune will be 7000rpm.

  23. what you mean by ported shroud? Im assuming modified comp cover? And this gives hks spooling sound?
