i can tell you in about month how good the hks twin power works. Engine is getting bolted back together atm. Also have splitfires and will be running 2bar of t04z goodness
i spoke to a supplier and they said that tomei rb25 and rb26 use same guides..Can anyone confirm this? Also if r33 guides would be the same as r34? Im thinking i should replace just to be on the safe side. Would be good to hear from people who still used their standard guides and what power/rpm they achived
mentioned to my workshop from the very get go that the NEO head have smaller cc. But they still went with the cp pistions for a r33 rb25. Dont know what comp ratio its going to end up with or how but i would like around 8.5. Will be whacking 2bar from a t04z.
yes i know...and pretty dam cheap compared to some here in aust. But do i need them? 8000rpm and 700rwhp? My stock are fine and head has come back from engineering.....So if i decide to go a/m its the downtime waiting for delivery and the extra labour involed. Workshop said i didnt need them but just want to get others opinions
does anyone know if the r33 valve guides also fit the r34 NEO? And when would i start to consider replacing them for a/m? Besides the obvious being worn out, is it the power or the rpms that factor? I will be reving to 8000rpm ( rb25/30) and 700rwhp. for argument sake they were in good condition, should i still go a/m? tomei seems the way to go.
i wonder how much i would of saved if i took the head and block directly to the associated workshops. As with one of the workshops mentioned, was told of 3 month waiting period. Although my repeated calls were never returned and got the cold shoulder ended up at top racing. Also good to go to the different worshops and have a chat with them. Have a look at how the shop is run and the people that work their should give a indication as to how good they are
got my r34 in at top racing. rb30 bottom with the NEO head. Engine came back from engineering last week so steve should start bolting it back togther this week sometime. I went all out on this project for big power. t04z (1.00) a/r with 2bar should see 650rwhp....Haven't factored the NOS system either
other mods:
poncams 260
greddy plenum
port/matched/polished head
sard 1000cc
cp pistions ceramic coated
argo rods
fulyy balanced
HE sump
ati balancer
plus much more
my engine is getting put back together as we speak and im at the stage now where i need to sort out the fuel system. Already have x2 044 pumps, surge tank, fpr, a/m rail and 1000cc injectors. I was thinking larger rubber ones in the boot and larger metal underneath up to the front and use standard return. As mentioned, will join two pumps into a single larger pipe be a good idea? Power goal of 700rwhp. Can i get some recommendations/feedback?
cheers
i have in tank lift pump, twin bosch 044, surge tank, fpr, hks rail and 1000cc injectors....also interested to see what size fuel lines? Also what kind? braided, silicone? power target 650rwhp and 700rwhp with nos
i just need the core as it needs custom piping. My t04z will be pushing 2bar and hoping for 650rwhp...so a whole lot of hot air. What brands are avialiable?
cheers
my bottom end on my neo let go. Decide to go for rb30 bottom end. i wanted to get the most power i could get which needed a big turbo. The extra cc helps response and the added torque
I was concerned that my poncams 260 would be restrictive at that power level. Im running a t0z (1.0 a/r) and hopefully 2bar to reach goal of 650hp atw. Should be back from machine shop next week so not to long to wait and see.
