  1. Nah, I wasn't in my car. I catch the bus to work.
  2. Spotted an Eddie of the Steady variety on his way to work this morning
  3. This is the best I got
  4. Here's a bit of entertainment for y'all On the way to work this morning on Adelaide Avenue I witnessed a chap in an R32 GT-R get (sort of but not really) chased down by a uniformed cop in an older VX Commodore SS. Very surprised, I thought he was picking for a run until I caught up and saw the uniform. Dunno if it was the guy's personal car, he didn't have any blue and red lights, he used his indicators to flag down the Skyline. Presumably because the guy in the GT-R hopped onto the T2 lane and gave it a bit of a hit for a couple of hundred metres until he ran out of room, so the cop went after him. The GT-R was white with very hard suspension, I think black standard wheels, this small vertical lip spoiler and a big front bar. Anyone we know? P.S. - unimpressed by the Commodore - blew a f**k load of weed on the kickdown gearchange and didn't really go much faster
  5. The RB26 box is not of any use to you because of the 4WD transfer case hanging off the side of it. An RB25DET gearbox is the same but without the 4WD gear, and yes they bolt on. Oh yeah, you'll need to have a custom tailshaft made up because the 25 gearbox is bigger. I'd just leave the box you have until you have the power to require changing to a stronger box.
  6. Nah, didn't see them, I was in the Southern Cross carpark.
  7. Ahahah, good work. I had no idea that note was even there until I read that The lights work a treat, they're perfect for bouncing rubber bands off and hitting the head of the person sitting on the other side of the partition In other news, spotted MIVEC (y0) in Tuggeranong next to the Southern Cross basketball stadium.
  8. From what it sounds like, it is your coilpacks. It's a very common problem with Skylines. When they get hot it (such as your overheating problem) it expands the cracks in the coil packs that they get when they get old, and this causes the spark buildup in the coils to arc out and reduce the strength of the spark sent to the spark plugs. The amount of air going through the engine is enough to blow out the weakened spark hence you get your missfire above 5000rpm. The temporary fix is to tape up your coil packs to try and close up the cracks and also to gap down your plugs to 0.8mm instead of the factory 1.1mm. The real fix is a new set of coilpacks.
  9. hrm It's supposed to be nice & clear tonight, and a bit warmer too... Thus I might swing past the museum if I find myself as bored as I am at the moment, which is pretty likely
  10. Linkie no workie
  11. Ran into IB6UB9 at the gym today, the GT-R is back and looking absolutely spectacular I must say
  12. Well, it's bucketing down in Civic at the moment, looks like photos may be out for tonight
  13. Blast! My secret identity has been exposed!
  14. Really? Sorry I had no idea you went past me, must have been in a world of my own
  15. Note to self: Stop pulling stupid faces when the camera is too far away, you may end up looking too stupid.
  16. We did a photoshoot for Bullet32 and Frink's cars under the bridge about a year ago, it works pretty well. Some of the lights under the bridge don't work but that's nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of good old fashioned photoshopping
  17. 100,000km service - - All fluids & filters - All belts especially timing belt - Water pump (thermostat while you're screwing around down there? It's a $40 part) - Spark plugs - Check all other "consumables" like brake pads, brake rotors, battery etc. I'm sure there's more
  18. Likewise, I'm good for either of those days, but voted for the Sunday just cos If you're in for a bit of distance, there's the model shop in Braidwood with the place that does woodfired pizza which I mentioned yesterday, or perhaps the Robertson pie shop which is a popular cruise destination from way back. It's also a stone's throw away from Kangaroo Valley. Down south - anything as far as the snowy mountains I guess Burrinjuck dam? Is Corin dam open again?
  19. Ok, pics of us http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ga...-album2172.html And I'll add pics of the other cars later
