  1. Could Mick and I take you up on that? What time should we meet you there? JaiJai you can add another one to the list, Mick (Bullet32) is coming
  2. There was always a couple of rotors there, I think most of the staff there have some sort of rotary Mazda. They always did good general work for me, they never did any tuning or modification work for me though. Fitting a front mount I'd say they could do. Best thing would be to ask Nick (The fellow that runs the place) about wether they do a lot of performance work/tuning. He was the kind of guy who would tell you if he didn't feel comfortable doing a job.
  3. Was the place called Ultimate Performance or Ultimate Tunes? There's a place in Phillip called Ultimate Tunes but I've never heard of Ultimate Performance. Ultimate Tunes have a dyno but I haven't really heard of them doing anything other than normal servicing & repairs. They used to do my old car a lot and I think their work was pretty decent. Has your car got any electronic wizardry that allows you to tune it?
  4. Good luck, be sure to let us know how it goes.... I'll be interested in some of your feedback, I'll have to send my car there once engineering is sorted
  5. 'tis good for me
  6. Oh yes here we go, another spark plug related thread... I'm sure everyone loves these by now! Yes I have searched but nothing has come up that resembles this issue. Ok so I had the classic problem of misfiring above 4500rpm that most people get when their coils are starting to go. Last weekend I replaced the coil packs with a set of Splitfires, and I figured while I was at it I would change the spark plugs as well while I was in there. The plugs that were in the motor were 1.1mm gapped NGK Iridiums with a heat range of 6, about 30,000kms old. They looked pretty decent when they came out of the motor. I replaced them with a 0.8mm gapped set of NGK copper BCPR6ES. The car started fine first go, and idles fine. It revs well (but, see below). It doesn't missfire above 4500rpm anymore. It feel strong, revs out fine and drives pretty smoothly. The problem is, is that it feels like it's not quite "happy". By that I mean it seems like it's almost misfiring when it gets revved anywhere above idle. It's like the normal RB25 burble you get has gotten a bit rougher, and there's a bit of a pop in it, for lack of a better description. Almost as if it has a bad batch of fuel or similar. I can notice it at low speed or revving the car in neutral. I guess my question is am I being stupid or is something actually wrong? I'm kind of leaning towards I have either a semi-dud sparkplug, or perhaps the 0.8mm gap is too small for a motor running stock boost? The motor is completely standard, just has a 3" exhaust and front mount. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of putting the iridiums back into it to see if it is a plug problem. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Either time works for me.
  8. What might be worthwhile is if someone can get their hands on a menu for people to see beforehand (post it up here, PM it around, whatever) and people could decide beforehand what they want to order, and maybe bring the right money (or close to it) with them.... could work... I suppose... maybe.
  9. On Akuna street, very close to Ticketek across the road form VIP Pies if you know where that is mmm... VIPs. I mean... Pies......
  10. I saw you, I was standing outside Transit Bar when you drove past

  12. Got/gave a wave to a fellow in a silver R33 GT-R with a carbon fibre bonnet at the BP in Phillip this arvo.... tuff arse car you have
  13. Spotto'd SL33KY in Civic going the other way past the Convention Centre with a white R34 GT-t coupe right behind her...gave a wave to both, got nothing back!
  14. Spotto'd a black S2 R33 on Parkes Way this morning into Civic, thought it was Leigh but upon closer inspection via the rear view mirror Leigh's car doesn't have mesh through the front bar & white mags
  15. Spotted NJR-34T turning onto the parkway this arvo bout 5:15
  16. Yeah it's not bad, the place looks nice, but it's going to be interesting fun fitting the whole of DITR into that building (i.e. forget it, not happening)
  17. I think that's the rumoured supercharged V6 they've been going on about If they're going to throw a supercharged V6 Camry looking FWD thing into the market and expect it to make a huge dent in the sales of XR6 Turbos and SV6 Commodores then they've got another think coming if you ask me
  18. If it was red and silver then it would most likely have been me.... didn't see you?
  19. I believe that the Street Rides guys tend to meet in the carpark opposite the Carlovers
  20. Dark green Stagea coming out of Waramanga bout 5:40, female driver, and straight after that a bright yellow R33
  21. Well I've just been for a ride in it, it seems to me that it's a heat and load related missfire the miss is always there at around 5,000 revs, but it seems to occur earlier in the revs when the engine gets more heat into it. It doesn't miss badly enough to halt the engine from revving any harder, it's also not a fixed miss in that it occurs constantly above where it starts - it doesn't. It carries on and farts a little bit, I actually had to almost have my head out the window to hear it. Doesn't really backfire at all when you back off, no more than I've ever seen out of any other RB anyway It revs absolutely fine when sitting there in neutral. I couldn't hear any pinging at all or other mechanical noises, it idles really smoothly, doesn't miss at all at idle. I dunno to me it seems like it's a stuffed set of coils or the ignitor box but then how come it's only done it since the engine was rebuilt..... perhaps it's something like the crank angle sensor isn't quite set to where it should be and is messing with the timing? (Would that cause something like this?)
  22. You've never heard of Fyshwick? Nah it's here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...460&st=1780
