Spotted me getting pulled over on the parkway - the cop told me they're checking Skylines now cos of the high theft rate.
So don't surprised if you get pulled over in peak hour on the parkway in the right hand lane and nearly cause an acco trying to slow down and pull over because you got told to.
The cop was a good bloke though.
There's been a strange number of R31's being stolen over the last month or 2, I dunno about any of the other models but don't be surprised if you get "flagged"
Spotted a guy in a white R34 with a bodykit heading towards woden on adelaide av, and gave a wave to a guy in a gunmetal R32 GT-R, he didn't wave back, so f**kya and ya sik kr0miez
Any car show is a catalogue for more dodgy members of the public. Though last year no one caught my eye as suss or anything like that.
Realistically speaking your car is on show everytime you take it out of the garage so it's much of a muchness really I suppose, but that's just the way I look at it
Could you give a bit more info on what you went through?
I'm wondering what was checked, what tests you had to have done (if any) etc
And which engineer you went through?
Don't let that put you off. A lot of the cars there definetly aren't up to show standards. The front of mine is riddled with stonechips and I still put it in last year, and it got a good reaction too
Perhaps you've bee looking at the series 1/2 boxes?
If not it's posible that the casings are different, but I'm under the impression that the internals at least are the same
Delayed spotto - gave & got a wave from a fellow in a burgundy 33 on saturday or sunday on Hindmarsh Drive, and spotto'd Chitami in Weston on Saturday night
And also Spotto's stunnd's GT-R back on the road
I don't know if you know already, but for your info if you need one urgently, the Australian R31 Series 3 (late '88 - '90 model) manual box is the same as an R32 GTS-t RB20DET gearbox, so that could help you out.
Yeah the coilpacks are part of the system that delivers the charge to the spark plugs.
The cost to replace them with genuine items is over $1,000. What just about everyone does is replace them with similar coils called 'Splitfires' which are actually better, and cheaper. If you look around you can get them for $850 or even slightly less these days.
Intercooler increases power by more than 15%?
An intercooler is more about making consistent power rather than dramatically increasing power. You'd pick up a handful of kw with one but nothing massive.
