  1. Old CRX's are slightly quicker than the newer ones if I recall correctly.....
  2. Just wondering who there is around that takes vegemite sandwiches as legal tender.....
  3. Not much point when it's not worn in yet and I can't exceed 80km/h with it.....
  4. f**kin mad R31 + XR6Turbo motor anyone?
  5. I've heard from here and there that the km reading for R34's is stored in the ECU, so the way they "wind them back" is by swapping the ECU for one from a lower km car that's been written off or whatever. All the dash cluster does is recall the information from the ECU. Kinda makes sense but I doubt that's how it really works because what happens when you swap the ECU with an aftermarket item? Do the km's go back to zero? Anyway, that's what I've heard, but I'm not sure that's really where the km reading is stored, and if it's as simple as swapping ECU's to wind the odo back. I kinda hope that the ECU is where the km reading is stored so I can find out how many kms my motor really has (Do I really want to know? )
  6. Luke you're lucky I actually want to go otherwise I'd tell you to stuff your no choice right up your arse!
  7. MX5's are rear wheel drive, all of them, do you mean MX6? They're FWD. MX5 Turbo conversions very popular, so are 1UZ-FE V8 conversions. The turbo convo expands their talents from an already highly entertaining sports car to also include being a missle. Bugger all weight helps with these things
  8. Wouldn't be the first time I've known someone to have their car broken into inside a "secure" carpark
  9. Went past Marc in Fyshwick, gave/got a wave
  10. Shit Leigh, Where did it happen? Does your car have any kind of security system? I'll keep an ear out for you.
  11. Spotted some young guy with a bog stock '98ish Honda Civic with a fart can and a fake blow off valve couldn't help it but piss myself laughing right next to him when I heard it go off
  12. I went for a drive and saw absolutely zero
  13. Going by Abo Bob's rebuild thread, they do have RB26 rods and apparently RB26 solid lifters too.
  14. lol, that's not much of an intercooler
  15. No blow off valve & no intercooler
  16. Cos the 5.7 doesn't pass new emissions regulations that came into effect at the start of the year, so they had to get a new engine
  17. I'm sitting in a building on Collins St in the middle of Melbourne right now, have been here since Wednesday night, and so far it's made Canberra look like Brisbane Anyway, Andrew, well done
  18. That would be the one
  19. That looks so Mazda 6 it's not funny. And the statesman looks like a mew Maxima. In fact..... it almost looks like it's been photochopped. However, it' on drive.com.au so I guess that decreases the chance that it's a joke
  20. There's a guy with a black 2 door 31 that works at Domayne in Fyshwick, perhaps that's the one you saw. You want an angry 31 Jayce, keep a keen lookout for a gunmetal Aussie 4 door that has a habit of getting sideways under boost (Frink, Bullet31 and Stinkypoo know which car I'm talking about)
  21. I've seen a coupe in Canberra with those colours
  22. If you're going with a (full?) 400R bodykit, why not make it looks like a real 400R? Do it in Nismo silver with the side decals and if you're game, bulging GT-R rear guards
  23. I use Motul 4100 Turbolight
  24. Says he who wasn't there
  25. A fellow I work with who is a mad oldschool revhead (Also Has a 265 Charger and a Javelin along with a BMW 635CSi) has recently turned his attention towards imports, and has gone and bought an Australian delivered Mitsubishi 3000GT, he's completely in love with the car, althought I think it's becoming apparent that it's quite hard to get bits for it. He's tried to get a set of mags for it, he did find some but it seems that they're one of those cars that are really hard to get bits for. Thing is, these cars are huge in the US, so if you're patient and don't mind dishing a bit extra for shipping there's a world of parts over there for 300GT's/GTO's. BUT.... if you need to replace the calipers, it looks like they run identical Sumitomo's to R33 GTS-25t's/R32 GT-R's
