The + Door trigger is not required on most vehicles, its just there in case the vehicle has a positive triggering door switch which some Euro cars do. Disregard this wire not needed. Also the M80 Series has a trigger wire for both Bonnet and Boot Wires therefore should not need an inline diode Kind Regards, Daniel Gardener Platinum Car Security

Hi Guys, Anyway noticed you talking about good security system, I now offer this Keypad system which can be added to any vehicle with or without alarm and interfaces with turbo timers no problems, which works much like the ForcedIgnition system and is easy to install, you can even do a stealth install yourself. The system comes with Anti-Hyjack functions where you system can be programmed to automatically turn on a few mins later if your door is opened and closed without you entering the pin number again. (ie someone pulls you out of the car and drives off) This system helps prevent car theft even in the event of someone stealing yours keys which is awesome. Anyway just a thought Wireless Keypad System (with Anti-Hyjack) Oh and also any alarm or immobiliser system will not prevent a guy towing your vehicle. Best defence against that is to get a wheel clamp at least this makes it harder for them (not impossible but harder) I run this puppy on my car

Hey mate, Looks like a normal basic alarm with all the bells and whistles and 2 way pager. Most countries sell different brands ie: we have Mongoose, Rhino, USA use alot of Viper, Hornet etc. No big deal, principals of the alarm would still be the same. I unfortunately cannot say I have heard of them before but thats not unusual. Kind Regards, Daniel Gardener Platinum Car Security

The problem is that when you start the programming sequence you basically have a window of only 15 seconds to turn the ignition on and off the number of times for the feature, and for features down the list like the turbo timer function which is number 13 means you have to turn the ignition on and off 13 times in 15 secs of opening the door. So it has to be quick. If your turbo timer is on then it obviously holds the ignition on, preventing the programming working properly. This is especially so with the Greddy Timers as even when they are set to the off position they actually stay on for .5 of a second after the ignition is switched off, hence this adds .5 of a second to each time you turn the ignition on and off. You dont necessarily have to disconnect the timer but just do the programming fast or to make it easier you can disconnect the timer till its programmed correct Regards, Daniel Gardener Platinum Car Security

Even easier, Mongoose has the central locking relays built in on the M80 series. Here is what to do. Purple + Orange wires connect to 12v Constant Power Brown + White wires connect to Constant Earth Then run your Green + Blue into the door where the central locking actuator is mounted and connect to the Green and Blue wires on the actuator. Arm and disarm the alrm and it should lock and unlock. If its around the wrong way just switch the green and blue wire around at the actuator it will reverse the signal for you Oh and on the 1993 Skyline there is a small gromet that you can push the wires through just behind the main grommet of the wiring going into the door, should make the running of the wire easier. M80g Alarm Randomly Not Arming/disarming
PlatinumPPI replied to Xizor's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Hi mate, Its true it could be the remote battery but just try the other spare remote, if this doesnt work as well chances are its more a problem with the system then the remotes, as chance of both remotes not work as same time because of the battery is slim. I am more inclined to think that its more to do with the system earth. If after driving and hitting bumps etc the earth may move depending on where is was mount, causing the system not to respond. If this is the case though the LED on the dash would not be flashing. If the dash LED is still flashing and your remotes work fine ie their lights come on when pushed, chances are its some sort of interferance or it may be that the units antenna is not working consistantly. If this is so, then yes it maybe effect by the heat in the car. If you keep having problems give me a call I own Platinum Car Security, I can have a look at it for you if your in the Sydney area. Otherwise may be able to advise you over the phone Kind Regards, Daniel Gardener -

Greddy Mspec Fmic Kit $750 Vs Hybrid Fmic Kit $650
PlatinumPPI replied to {AMO}'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My order has come through in Japan kits will be here next week, Ordered about 40 kits so should be sweet for anyone that wants one. -
Prosman - Ok well basically for starters the general rule is a tube and fin cooler will always flow better then a bar and plate cooler, so it all depends on your set up The v-spl we have seen take up to 300kw and the M-Spec is rated slightly lower, around the 260kw mark. But depends on your application, there will not be a major lagginess but the v-spl will always be slightly more responsive. JON JON- when the kits arrive i will be asking someone if i can trial fit a M-SPEC kit on an R34 if you like you can volenteer, most of the R33 kits will fit an R34 anyway but Greddy dont plan to release one as yet offically. The R34 has the washer bottle in the way where the R33 pipe goes, so this will have to be moved.

Hey mate, The M-Spec kit is like the V-SPL and runs past the radiator on the intake side of things to just under the fuse box on the R33, Also guys i do believe the core is Manufactured in CHINA but is design by Greddy and the pipiing and end tanks are Greddy items aswell. But the quality is 10 times better then alot of the cheap chinese copies going around as ive seen both as we fit them all. Regards, Daniel
-
Ok need more clarification on the intercooler kits so people think they are cheap chinese copies. THE KITS ARE REAL GREDDY ITEMS and do not compare to the chinese copies they are higher quality, WE STOCK BOTH!!! The pictured kit is the SAMPLE GREDDY KIT FROM THE TRUST DISTRIBUTER AND IF YOU NOTICE IT HAS NO MOUNT POINTS ON IT AND NOT STAMPED GREDDY YET AS IT IS THE FIRST KIT IN AUSTRALIA FOR THE DEALERS TO SEE THE SAMPLE. The piping kits are the V-SPL item with a bar and plate core to cater for the lower end of the market, the core is made in China i believe GREDDY said but is of Japanese design and testing by GREDDY. The kits are different to the V-SPL as they have the polished pipes and silicon hoses where the V-SPL has the rubber hoses and just dull aluminum piping. Hope this clears it all up. The first order will be next week, but if the interest is good, we will run it again for those who miss out. THIS COOLER IS GENUINE GREDDY NOT A CHEAP CHINESE COPY, THEY ARE JAPANESE DESIGN. Please see here for more information: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/NEW-GRE...er-t168736.html
