I was messing around with the MAF wires and some how it died. I'm guessing it's a resistor/cap. Anyone know who can fix it? TIA -
anyone?

Should be fine since rb25 and rb26 rods share the same bearing sizes and lengths. Crower rods are ~2100AUD, you are a lucky man. Also, here in the states, eagle rods are considered to be weak. $1500AUD is quite expensive for those. I remember paying $500US for vg30 eagle rods.

I've been trying to correct this problem for some time. Previously it would misfire when cold and high rpm, but i've since changed the head gasket and used ARP studs. When i did that I left a coupling loose creating a boost leak. When it had the leak, the Engine would rev to redline fine, just without boost. I've since corected that problem too. Now it misfires @~10psi. I have taped coils, gapped NGK coppers heat range 7 down to 0.5mm. Could the problem be not enough ignition advance? A/F are about ~11.2:1 and lower. Should I lean it abit? TIA.

Hello, In the states we have redone stock injectors which are modified to flow higher. Flow rates are from 480cc to 700cc. My question is, will there be any issues with using 700cc injectors and the power fc. I've heard of tuning problems but i could not see why. In the inj correction table i would enter .52% for 700cc. Anyone else have odd sized injectors. (odd as opposed to the 555cc, 740cc, 850cc..)

RB25 ecu's can't be flashed unless rechipped, so no one really runs a retuned ecu. Your gonna have a hard time finding the bin file.

OMG! High 8's from a street GT-R with standard motor!

lol i'm sorry, but a respected mag? All import mags in the states offer poor, misinformed journalism at their best. They are just catering to the skyline/silvia/240sx craze. -

Measure it yourself, ARP's website have a form you can fill out and they will send you a custom set.

looking for an aftermarket manifold. This phone New is $800 AUD.

Would like to Trade and unlocked/unbranded moto V3 for an RB25DET Top mount exhaust manifold. It has one scratch on the bottom but the phone is in otherwise excellent condition. It is unlocked so you can just pop in your existing GSM sim card and go. It will come with car charger and data cable.

The AEM EMS is about to be introduced. At this time their forum is down so dyno maps are not available. Here are some features: Plug & Play Technology - No Wiring Necessary* Uses all the Factory Sensors Fuel Table Automapping Base Maps Included Programmable Traction Control Onboard 512kb Datalogger 10 Cyl Sequential Fuel Injection 16 General Purpose Outputs 7 Definable Switch Inputs Electronic Boost Control Soft Cut Rev Limiters 2 Step Launch Control Wet or Dry Nitrous Control Definable Knock Control Full Idle Control 4 EGT Inputs w/Fuel Control The list is VERY impressive. One thing not listed is the ability to use MAP or MAF. No more constraints in buying a Djetro or ljetro pfc. IT will list for about $1700 USD when introduced. When comparing to the PFC it does seem expensive however the PFC is dwarfed in feature list. What the standard PFC doesn't have: Soft REv limiters Knock control AUTO tune- (possibly the greatest thing for DIY'ers) Traction control Data logger Standard laptop logging I currently have a PFC with FC datalogit. I'm hoping to get rid of it as soon as the AEM EMS is introduced.

What does a maxed AFM feel like?
maximajim replied to maximajim's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have done a 0-100 run. At about 6000rpm maf voltage reaches 5v and and increases slightly to 5.030v at 7000rpm. The problem is I've read the max voltage is 5.12v. Well i guess I have to swap the maf to see if i actually do have a problem. -

No, I just ordered one, I currently have the factory rb25 afm. -

Where? ( i have the datalogit) I've had a max voltage of 5.030 V, the max is supposed to be 5.1v? -

Rb25det/s14 Mods: PFC T3/t4 50 trim Greddy plenum/q45 tb 3" dump fmic The car doesn't seem to completely stop making power, it struggles to reach redline. I ordered a q45 AFM as it was dirt cheap ($65 USD). -
I'm thinking I'm fully maxing my AFM but I can't really tell. It struggles to reach 15psi and pops past 5500 rpms. Should I replace the maf or is it something else?. Plugs are gapped at .8mm.

Hello, I recently data logged with my PFC, and I'm wondering if I need a Z32 maf. From ~6300rpm to ~7000 rpm my MAF voltage reads from 5.005-5.030V. Injector duty reaches 72%max. I have sputtering around that rpm range, is the AFM the cause?

It's driving me nuts... I changed the fuel injector...no help. Compression tested.. 140psi, within limits of the other cylinders pulled coil when running and connected a spark plug.. plug fires That leaves the Intake gaskets.. has anyone had a misfire caused by it??
-
it's not just a little miss, the cylinder is totally dead when cold. If i pull the #6 coil plug after warm up, it sounds the same as when the engine is cold. When its starting to work I can hear a little "bump bump bump" sound as the cylinder comes to life. Swapped stock ecu with pfc with no help Nothing but problems with this engine
-
possibly, I had a leak until I retorqued the head. It doesn't use anymore coolant and oil is no longer appearing in the coolant. However when i did have the coolant leak it did not have this problem. When #6 comes back the vacuum reads 15mmhg and when at operating temp will read ~20mmhg. I think that should rule out the hg and compressin of #6
