  1. I've replaced the spark plug, swapped coils, sprayed #6 runner with carb cleaner. Still the same. I'm thinking sticking injector, has anyone had the same issue?. I can hear the injector clicking. When started the engine will run fine for approx. 3 seconds and then # 6 will drop. #6 will come back as soon as the engine becomes warm. Like as if when it goes to closed loop the problem corrects itself.
  2. I have jiggled the wires when warm and it's doesn't not misfire. IT's series II rb25 so no seperated ignitor. It's strange it starts to work when the engine just reaches operating temp.
  3. Hello, I have a dead #6 cylinder right after the engine is started and lasts until the engine is warm. I swapped the #6 coil and it still has the same problem. Would a an inejctor cause this problems only when cold?
  4. Looks like I have a problem with my air regulator. How can I tell if it is working? The r33 JPNZ manual states when 12v is applied the regulator will go full open in 7 minutes. However the r32 FSM states it will go full closed. Which is it? I have an rb25det. Is the rb26 regulator different?
  5. I know idle vaccum is supposed to be ~15-20mmhg. My question is where does it sit when the car is first started?. Mine sits ~13mmHG and rises to ~17.5mmhg when warm. Also what is the standard idle for a rb25det?
  6. I checked .65 idle to 4.8v WOT
  7. It's an rb25 with rb25 pfc. AFM is standard and untouched. I have a feeling the pfc just doesn't like the new tps. I have reset the pfc to no avail. funny thing when setting the TPS i had a voltage of 1v at the sensor using a meter but the fc datalogit screen would show .65v. I have corrected the snsor voltage but no change.
  8. Hello, I recently installed another Q45 TB and TPS. The PFC will now hunt for idle after warm up. Goes 800-1500 rpm surges. The standard ecu does not do this nor does it have a code. However the standard ecu does idle higher than before. What is the hunt an indication of? TPS volatge is ~0.60V at idle. Base timing was checked at 20. Thank you.
  9. RB30 is right. It's NEO VVT not VVL, the SR20VE has VVL tech. VVL= Variable valve lift ie: VTEC. NEO VVT is constantly variable timing aka CVTC on newer nissans.
  10. It's 10mm hex . The actual shaft diameter is 11mm.
  11. nothing but problems after problems.. Right now the oil is mixing with the coolant. And It smokes when reved. At idle it does not smoke. Before the intial install I: 1) checked the head for flatness 2) used a fresh Metal HG and sprayed with copper 3) had the head milled to flat I did however reuse the stock head bolts. I did not check them for stretch. Would they cause this problem?
  12. Venus auto.
  13. 13.8-14.0 Head to Nico for RB/s chassis info.
  14. it's the intake manifold gasket that I reused. The HG is a new metal HG.
  15. I've recently started an RB25 fresh build. I put a few KM's on it with load. My boost guage shows an idle vaccum of about 17 in-hg. Is this ok? I have reused a Inlet gasket but it was a on a previous head for only a few months. It was not damaged.

  17. They were 850 with wrist pins from Ross. I'm sure you can get a cheaper set from Wiseco.
  18. One was 100% standard long block the other a 100% standard short block.
  19. What about 9:1 CR instead of 8.4? Add alcohol injection.. We have 2 stock RB25's in the US that have pushed near 600rwhp with 9:1 CR and stock HG's. Why not try 700hp with 9:1 with a metal HG and forged pistons?
  20. Here's what's in the FC datalogit manual E-3-1 Anti lag ☺ (AKA Stutter box, Launch box, Pro start and “Bang bang”) ^ • Spools up your turbo for a quick drag launch o Assuming you will use the standard clutch switch (+ arming switch) ? Cut clutch switch wires ? Connect one wire through an additional (arming) switch from the standard clutch switch to terminal “SW3” on the FC-Box {FC2 FC-Box 4 Switches} Questions? [email protected] 54 FC-Datalogit GTR32/33 DETT User Manual • The additional switch is used to turn anti lag on and off (arm the system). Mount this within easy reach of your driving position ? Ground the other clutch switch wire ? Check the enable Anti lag Switch (SW3) “check box” to enable Anti lag ? Enter the amount of ignition retard you want in the “IGN Anti lag retard” text box ? Enter the amount of extra fuel you want in the “INJ Anti lag” text box ? Push the “Update” button on FC-Edit ? Turn the ignition key off and then back on ? Arm the system with the additional arming switch ? When the clutch is depressed the FC-Box will retard the ignition and add fuel to the values you have entered in the appropriate text boxes. RPMs will drop so you need to depress the accelerator to compensate. More boost will be created ? When the clutch is released the timing and fuel will return to normal
  21. It seems as though the FC datalogit will allow you to do it without aftmkt electronics.
  22. Hello, I purchased an FC Datalogit about a month ago and have not recieved it. I've sent a few emails to Glen but with no response. Is this normal for them? How long is the wait time? Starting to get worried..
