Go the neo! Im not bein biased but i had a r33 series one engine in my old r32 it wasnt as smooth as the neo and wasnt as torquey. I got 170 kw atw on 12 psi front mount, exhaust etc etc. The neo has all the same mods and puts out more on standard boost.

Thanx fellas! I have been tearing my hair out! I would much rather my old series one rb25! use to run 12 pound all day every day not a drama! Neo rb25 very overated! for example 9-10 psi boost cut, turbo is a crappy laggy nylon one!

Hi just wondering if anyone knows? Why does this stupid neo rb25 which i am begining to hate, boost spike to 12psi on full throttle,then it climbs to 15 psi then starts shaking the whole car (only night time late,and early mornings) i know the air is colder and more dense. And during the arvo it holds 8psi constant under full throttle. Everything is stock! hoses,boost valve everything......

Didnt put it in dude... The person before me did man.. Saved me money.. It had a 20 box in it when i got it i put a 33 25 box in it. Dont know how it is wired... I am running a r32 gtr speedo drive, cos 25 boxes are virtually the same just without transfer case ya know(",). It doesnt have speed cut not that i have been past 180. he he he.

Thanx dude, guess the safc is not worth it hey? my car is is my pride and joy so is my stagea... There like an addiction (rb's) worth there weight in gold! Ther is always more ya can get out of them! I am alway trying to get more power!

That oil is good but! Its not like you are using dodgey crap

Oh yeah man.. That is on of ya main feeds from the oil pump... i think but it should just blow ya pressure rellief in ya pump not a expert but i dont like bein a know all (",) hope ya havent done any damage to that nice turbo but! Wish i had one....

my old rb25 had that noise. after i had been flogging it but i put that moreys oil stabiliser in with the oil then it was as quiet as a mouse!

hey dude. what oil do ya run? If ya got the money get rid of the standard oil pressure gauge ther so dodgey! I put a electric aftermarket in mine cos i was worried bout the low reading! Mine runs 100psi when cold and 50psi warmed up cruzn on the high way... 80pound when ya give it a gut full and 35 40 pound at idle.. oil is castrol edge 5w30 fully synthetic.

Hi people's Just wondering all you people with these fantastic engines What can be done and what cant be done? Cheap mods i have 3 inch exhaust hi flow cat, pod, split dump pipe, stock boost. Stock boost is the problem. It wont let me boost over 9psi it hits r&r... Are the safc worth while installing. Any other mods you guroos out there know? My last rb25 was a series 1 in an r32 i use to run 1 bar all day every day in that one. This one is heaps smoother and torquey compared to the series one. Just feels like it isnt even working hard! Any ideas Go the rb25s

Can anyone help me out with getting a standard rb25det 5 speed standard gear shifter?It is driving me insane! The thing is i dont want a short shifter! Anyone help me?

Dont know hey It only crunches sometimes... the shifter is sloppy but.

Hi people not long put a rb 25 box in my r32 to match the 25 motor. It came with no shifter or anything. I changed the nylon pivot bush at the bottom of shifter. The problem is when i up shift to 3rd and 5th gears it crunches. How different are they, does anyone recommend just putting a short shifter in instead of a standard shifter? (too expensive too they want 150 bucks for a standard one!

Hi all. just put a rb 25 box in my 32. One problem..... The slave cylinder is different. Newcastle sux for getting parts for imports im sick of hearing we dont have a part number or we cant get them or to top it off DO YOU HAVE A VIN chassis NUMBER? How can i give that when the vin number on my car is a r32 and it has a 25 box! Do you have to make a slave cylinder to own one. Can anyone help?

Hey dude my mate with a 32 gtr had the same prob. It ended up being the ignitor box at back of cover.. Also another problem can be your crank angle sensor.

Hi people, can anyone help me out? I just put a rb25det 5 speed box in my r32. I bought the gearbox and didnt get a shifter with it! All went well except the shifter! The nylon nuckle ball pivot thing is different size. Does anyone know if it will work if i change this or do i need the proper shifter? Anyone have one laying around in there shed Newcastle area....

Thanx everyone! Nice cars you all have too! That r31 is a mad sleeper! I had one with a 25 in it too pretty damn wild to drive he he he thats if ya can keep the diffs up to it! I broke a few! Smashed a silhouette one to pieces,the auto one held up the best!

Thanx fellas! Just this r32 i bought has had afew little probs with it but not the motor thankfully. I had another r32 with a series 1 r33 25 in it. The neo is the better motor it goes better on less boost and is lots smoother! Only thing is it only really starts pulling bout 4 thousand revs then it pulls really well lots of wheel spin! he he he mad fun!

Hi people, just a stupid question.... What is a 34gtt engine supose to sound like? idle etc.. Havent ever heard another one except my engine are lifters suppose to be constantly noisy?

Hi there. I put a 25 box in my old r32. Bits you need are or need to do, re drill your cross member, you need a r32 gtr speedo drive,and you need to mod your tailshaft in length and change the yoke to a rb25 one they are heaps bigger! Changing from auto to manual you need a clutch master cylinder and clutch pedal and either change the brake pedal to the manual one or cot that one neatly and put a new rubber pad on it.Plus you will need a clutch line from master cylinder to slave cylinder, not sure bout computer but.

Once again another rb20 5 speed is gonna explode. Anyone got any ideas about a gear set for one? I had a r32 a few years back with a rb25 as well.Now i have another one, both had rb20 boxes! They are so weak and not suitable for the extra power and torque of the 25! The thing is i dont want a 25 five speed, cos i put one in the old r32 and it was nothing but a stuff around! Different speedo drive, cross member doesnt line up, and 300 bucks to mod the tail shaft for yoke size and as well as the ridiculous price of them as well. HELP need someone who could reco it with dog gears or something as well as stronger bearings for around 1500 bucks! anyone?

My old 32 with the s1 25 i had 190rwkw @ 10psi and yes I am running the standard ECU my brother is an electrical engineer and has re-mapped it for me
