SHE LIVES!!! got home about an hour ago, to find that my dad had infact swapped the coolant feed line, topped up the cooling system, and refitted all the heatshields. so i refitted the inlet pipe, airbox, hot pipe (which i removed twice again because id forgotten something), refitted the little boost controller dohicky whatsit, macguyver'd a couple hous clamps, crossed my fingers, and started her up. no leaks, no strange noise (aside from the usual sr noises ), and yeah, beauty. so stoked. fairly sure im gonna be doing the dishes for the next month though, lol. its a bit ghetto at the moment, doesnt have the stone tray fitted, and the outlet snout on the turbo hasnt been torqued up, but shes running and not leaking. so im happy.

went to funkoars tonight. ive never seen so many full blown punch ups in a pit before. nor have a i ever seen a vn do ringies in a bp forecourt before. nor have i ever seen star force rock up en masse to a music event. interesting night.

bah, just a shame to hear about such a nice car being smashed up. hope the bastards "enjoy" a lenghty stay in hospital.

so, my dad occasionally has fits of awesome. im at work at the moment, jsut got a call from him, hes taken a half day and is heading out to main north nissan to pick up the feed line i need ($131 including new gaskets for the banjos), and is gonna fit it up as soon as he gets home, i *might* be making the dyno day in my car after all. heh. but ehm, i removed a few things to find where the leak was, like the outlet snout on the turbo, anyone know what the bolts holding it in should be torqued up to? and what the banjo fittings should be done up to?

if i end up staying in town after work, the only place ill be going is funkoars.

id checks and regency inspections are very different. theyre only checking to make sure all the numbers make sense when you got to an id check (make sure its not stolen, etc), however, if youre car is obviously defectable, sitting on the deck, huge wheels poking out the gaurds, exhaust that you can hear from the next postcode, etc, they will send you to regency, just be sensible. and yes, a sticker with the shift pattern on it will suffice.

because i dont have either of my cars at the moment, i leave for work at about 10:30, and being a friday, ill be home anywhere between 9:30pm and 12:30am, and then i gotta get the pipe and new washers for the banjo.

i wanted to make it blatantly obvious. no, its the feed line. whereever i take its still gonna have to wait til next week.

yeah, im still pretty pissed off though. really want to get down to the dyno day. meh. spose ill just take to morpowa whens its all fixed. it couldnt just be a simple f**king fix though. gah.

well, my cars out of action, im not gonna drive it around with the rather severe leak it has, and with my daily have its head swapped, i dont have a car to enter/drive at all. so my spots up for sale, first in best dressed.

welp, wrong again. put everything back together, started her up, and had a look where i thought it was leaking. the line itself has a hole in it. 200's out of action til i can get that swapped.

double hit. banjo just above from there is leaking too. not liking my chances of fixing it. my spot at the dyno day is up for sale pending further notice.

think ive found the culprit. couldnt see shit from up top, so i used my uber dodgy jack and had a look underneath, found this f**ker; gonna pull it off and see whats what... bit late though, everywhere that sells rubber lines like that are closed... a hoise at my disposal would be freaking sweet right about now. fark man, i wouldnt say no to one of those eiter.

cant tomorrow. leave for work at 11am. not back til after 9.

might be another spot for sale. watch this space.

out in craigmore mate. im sorta poking around blind in the engine bay, cant really say i know what im doing, so having some who knows whats what lending a hand would make it infinitely easier.

ok guys, i need a hand with this. as some of you know, ive got a coolant leak for somewhere around my turbo, which i noticed while backing out of my driveway about half an hour ago, is getting worse. so im pulling apart that side of my engine, but i still think im gonna need a hand with a few things, so anyone out north with some level of mechanical knowledge (*looks at dale*), if you reckon you could help me out, that would be beyond awesome. i wanna get this fixed before saturday or else ill have to sell my dyno spot, miss out on an awesome day out, and not go to the drifts, fail. so yeah, would be hugely appreciated, will pay with reach arounds or whatever tickles your fancy if you wish. you can find me on 0408961657 cheers.
