  1. bride fixed back with a low max. that'll drop you way down compared to standard seating position.
  2. cant confirm it or deny it, but i wouldnt waste my money on k sports dude.
  3. quick update on my qfm pads. theyre toast. lol. 3rd track day on the fronts (a1rm), first on the rear (hpx). still running penrite sin 600 fluid, now with hel braided lines. fronts had about 75% meat left on them at the start of the day, rears only had a few hundred kays on them. as you can see, theyre pretty toasted. was harder on my brakes than i ever have been before, and i only suffered a loss of brakes once over the course of the 62 laps i put in. incredibly happy with the way they performed. i reckon i took the hpx's a little beyond their rated heat range by the end of the day, as they just started delaminating, ill be running a1rm's on the rear next time.
  4. bt-1 = former cop cruiser that vlophiles go bat shit crazy for, yeah?
  5. how? heads still going to sit 30mm higher than standard?
  6. dude. save your money a little longer, and buy some quality gear. you can get brand new jic flt-fas coilovers through jis in adelaide for $1500. dont bother with d2/isc/g4 or any of that shit. absolute garbage. rock hard spring rates, super soft damper rates. youll hate yourself for buying them. stick with japanese quality. cusco/jic/silk road/tein. hell, id even go parts shop max. you can get those for usd$1000 + shipping.
  7. +1, 33 gtr wheels would be the best track wheel on a budget.
  8. ugh. gtr purists. im siding with dale. f**k spending $30k on some liners and a bolt on deck when i can jump on the club and find a 30e bottom end for less than $50. and ive heard of quite a few of the os kits failing at life. id be pretty torn up about $30k going to waste, but i wouldnt give 2 shits about a 50 buck bottom end. *just had a look at the kaki kit, seems waaaaay too cheap. and i could 'almost dig it'. the splits a little off. if it was something like this, itd be rad, and i actually would dig it. that really isnt a bad thing.
  9. cores are fine. for most applications theyre just as good as the big name jap cores. piping kits are generally garbage though. solution, buy a cooling pro core, and have someone like andrew at am performance do the pipe work. front bar needs to die in a fire and be replaced with a nismo or something tasteful. same story for the wheels. f**k 'em off and buy 34 GTR's, or maybe some white xd9's in decent size and offset. 2 tone paints alright though. i could almost dig it.
  10. i just found it rather irritating. id previously used ku25's as rear tyres on the track (which are pretty f**kin average tyres imo), and they didnt get anywhere near that bad, and i was pushing just as hard on them.
  11. 9" with a 235 or 245 tyre would be ideal. that size on a 7 would be retarded.
  12. hey jake, for once, youre late instead of early.
  13. lol dion, sauhunters?
  14. awesome shot. i want copies!
  15. we all know heslo's finally getting a sex change. gonna need something juicier than that to draw the crowds.
  16. smoke a joint before you go. wont have to worry about relaxing then.
  17. you guys can keep the 32. i gotta twist munro's arm enough for him to let me take the 35 for a punt. they were practically brand new at the start of the day...
  18. as promised. keep in mind, these were practically brand new when i went out.
  19. so what events fall under l2s and l2ns?
  20. ok, basically theres a bit of an argument in regards to day licences for the nissan nationals flaring up. the organisers are saying day licences are $55. im having trouble recalling a time that anyone has ever paid more than $25 for a day licence. so your input would be appreciated, how much have you paid for day licences? and what sort of event was it? drift, grip, hill climb, motorkhana?
  21. lol. i do try. they were probably my lamest spins of the day too. my spin on turn 1 at the start of the day was epic. glad he enjoyed the show though, looking forward to seeing the pics.
  22. oh f**k me. thats better than glenn's caterpillar.
  23. lol. i think a 30det is a little out of reach for your average backyarder.
  24. quick update, had a track day yesterday (mallala). kumho's performed brilliantly once again, offering great throughout the day. the direzzas however... got a bit unpredictable when i really start leaning on them, and delaminated in chunks and strips, ill post pics later. would use them for street, but not for track.
  25. spent the last hour or so doing a quick damage assessment. pretty hilarious. front end; brakes, 3 of 4 pads have 1-2mm material remaining, 1 has about 3 square inches, ~1mm deep remaining, rotors are fine. tyres have done 3 track days now, and still have at least 1 left in them. rear; brakes, 3 of 4 pads still have 4-5mm material remaining, 1 has none what so ever. tyres were brand new dunlop direzza dz101, pretty f**ked. starting to delaminate quite a bit. probably good for nothing more than skids now.
