sometimes i love working night shifts. this is one of those times. been able to get a decent bit of work done on the car while the weather is still suitable for humans. ill spend today chasing up new parts and discussing a new exhaust with andrew, and then hopefully, barring any other things i wanna tinker with, itll be good as new by sunday.

had another look under the car. all looks good. not a single ripple or dent in the rails.

haha, cheers dude. just running some quick sums, assuming im right and the chassis is still straight (no visible damage to rails, and while it was a hard hit, it wasnt a hard hit) and i replace the exhaust as well, should see change from $1k (sub $500 if i dont replace the exhaust). but time will tell i spose. either way, looks like ill be smashing out some overtime the next few months.

probably. but itd be a lot more effort than its worth. and they could easily come back with 'you were exceeding the speed limit' (not by much, but i was, plain and simple) and 'if your car wasnt so low, it wouldnt have been a problem', which is true. if i had actual ground clearance i wouldve just scraped my exhaust.
