  1. i don't think it would be a good idea... Ur compressor wont cut out on temperature or a pressure fault... Or when on high throttle I think the other would be to send a signal to ur AAC valve to pick up idle when it cuts in...
  2. i think if your going to go a 6boost mani, spend the money and go a real greddy plenum... I had a china one it had a leak some where so the idle was alwas bad, also it leaked coolant out the top bolt on the number 6 runner... you'll save money in the long run... or you could buy my old one an fix it... lol...
  3. Yeah it was bleed properly... checked 3 times, It's not an RB30ET, it's an RB30E+T... so it'll have higher compression, thats why we want to lower it a bit We're looking at a cometic 1.88mm/0.074 gasket..
  4. well, we'll find out tomorrow... lol... anyone know a good place to get a head gasket... we're thinking of going a bit thicker to lower the the compression a bit...
  5. mmm... That's something i didn't know... I didn't overheat, it was only a short drive and we were watching coolant temps...
  6. by the sounds of it he would have... he's sending him an email at the moment, it's was also blowing steam out the exhaust... that was our main reason for thinking gasket... also radiator lost fluid and pressurized with gas... inside exhaust was also wet...
  7. Well long story short, My step father is putting an RB30E+T into his EH holden, Long process, finally got it going, took it for a bit of a drive to set the boost controller... Pulled up to check where the tyres were rubbing, and noticed a miss, took it back to the house... did all the normal checks, couldn't find anything... Next day my step father checked it over and found milky oil on the dipstick and in the rocker covers, Did a compression test 140psi on 1,2,4,5 and about 125 on the 3 and 6 Motor was rebuilt about 10 years ago and done bugger all K's since, was in another EH that was a weekender... What's do u's reckons wrong?? we're in the process of removing the head as we're leaning toward head gasket...
  8. what u wouldn't pay 9+Mill for an 35GTR... where's ur skyline spirit... lol...
  9. it's a $120 part for the gates micro v belt, I'd be putting a new one on while it's apart, u don't wanna be pulling it back down to change a timing belt. Your belt should be right if you go that way, depending on previous tension etc... i just believe in doing it once... coz it can end up costing alot more in the long run... Edit : Just checked tweakit site... Gates Racing Timing Belt Nissan Skyline R33-R34 RB25DE, RB25DET $99.00AUD (inc GST) $90.00AUD(ex GST)
  10. is it running rich on start up?? Check ur plugs aren't fouled up if it has a rich cold start...
  11. does it get worse the more power ur putting down?? I say when u get more power the belt slips... is it tight or just nipped up?? Mine spits the beld when i make to much power... At the drags tonight as soon as i put the slicks on and tried to do a burnout it spat it.. Try tightening it and see how it goes, also check the condition of the belt... it might be worn and not able to grip...
  12. Yeah it's right... Don't know exactly y they do it, but they do so u don't need to worry...
  13. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eo...html&hl=r34 That's the turbo you want... will have bugger all lag and handle what you wanna do...
  14. Is the car heating up at all?? I have a FPR if you want it, but i doubt it's the problem...
  15. It does look nice, but r u going to sit it in ur garage doing nothing?? Coz thats what ur buying a car that is best for sunday drives and not to be modded... Also the paint on the inlet plenum suggests more K's... (by the look in the pic..)
  16. price as per rules...
  17. he's basically saying R33 2dr to R33 4dr...
  18. Sounds like it's just your alternator working harder... should be fine..
  19. I just put an ORC 709D in mine... It's a lot better than expected... holds well very light peddle a little bit grabby but i think it'll be easy to get used to...
  20. pretty sure i have it all.. make an offer... Thats if your looking for R33 bits...
  21. I'm running sard 800cc injectors, Twin spray.. They work great... size wise would be a good match for your application, Not sure about spray pattern..
  22. How hard did you drive your car?? just wondering if i should start looking before i brake mine... i thought they could handle a bit more power than that..
  23. RB25 box is basically an rb26 box without transfer case... it's just as tough... I'd stick with it and if you manage to break it upgrade to one of the above...
  24. Yeah I'm a bit on the fence... the fella that i sold my set-up to said it lasted about 10 mins... but he looked like he was pretty rough with his gear and installs... judging by his RX7... But my brother put on on his VP wagon... Ran 17.xx before can't remember MPH, But now he's running 13.3 @ 107MPH... doing a good job till the oil seal went in it...
