it could be an exhaust gas temp sensor.. just go to your local exhaust shop and get then to weld a new nut close to it's original location once you have fitted the new cat, or you could move it to the right of the flange in the photo if you want to do it before you fit it...

i say if it did get marked down for any reason it would be because of the number of small marks/scratches, but they marked it as a 4.5 as it is in such good condition... I'm just making assumptions but, it would really come down to your mechanic's and your opinion, I'm unsure about the cluster as i don't understand why someone would move it an put the climate control in its place, it's probably a 50/50 on weather the wiring is there or not, but if not it shouldn't be hard to wire up...

no not $100, I had an offer on boost cruising for $150, but they havn't paid yet so i'm after more offers...

can help with the grading but it doesn't quite sound right... don't go by my opinion but... The engine cover has probably been cleaned with a harsh chemical, it does look very clean... nice looking car.. if your worried get a mechanic to check it out for you...

what type of plugs did you use, did you gap them to 0.8mm also check you didn't crack the porcelain on the plugs, i've done that before very annoying.

i think mine cost about $20, i wouldn't try to remove it any other way...

wow... there has been so many of these lost power topics this week... it seems to be a plague... how far down is your boost... have you checked exhaust studs... might have an exhaust leak, probably not the issue but a good thing to check.

withe a pulley removing tool... get one from supercheap Undo the nut in the middle of the balancer i think it's a 27mm not 100% then use the tool to pull the pulley off the crank...

go around and nip up all your hose clamps, see if you can hear anything... check all your lines coming off your plenum, make sure they are still attached... If it's a big enough leak you might be able to feel it... also check your BOV... disconnect the rubber plumb back hose and put your hand over the outlet of the BOV as it is building PSI...

i'd be checking for boost leaks... that would cause backfiring as it'll be running rich, is the car revving up and sown on idle then stalling out??? If so look up the TUTE on cleaning the AAC valve and adjusting idle... should fix it...

have you checked if your BOV is leaking...
