I'm talking about idle hunting.. will rev up and down continuously on idle.. I don't think thats ur problem... if it still does it when warm (can you turn the car off and start it or do u need throttle??), I don't think it would be an injector..

I was going to suggest the AAC valve.. might be buggered all together but.. normally dirty ones will make it hunt.. But then if it idles all right it might not be.. ??? worth cleaning anyway..

also degreaser will stay on metal untill it heats up and burns off... will only smoke for about 5 mins...
