  1. Hey Guys. Just got a quick question hopefully someone can help me out with. Yesterday while I was at work some prick broke into my R33 and stole my power FC! Now this is a bad enough thing to start off with. Normally I could just plug in the standard ecu (as I have not modified injectors, turbo etc) and drive off, the problem being is that when I had the Power FC installed I also installed a Z32 AFM in anticpiation of a bigger turbo, injectors etc. later on down the track. My question is, can I plug in the standard ECU with the Z32 AFM or am I likely to blow the whole thing up? Is it possible to even run the car like this for a short period of time? Any help you guys could offer is greatly appreciated. Cheers
  2. Ok guys I have a couple of questions that I was hoping someone may be able to help me out with. Firstly I currently have a PFC, EBC, and Z32 AFM waiting to be fitted to my R33. Only other mods are 3in turbo back exhaust and a FMIC. I have plans to upgrade to GT-RS turbo early next year (also injectors etc.). My question is would it be worthwile fitting the Z32 AFM at the same time as I get The PFC and EBC fitted/tuned (now), or would I be better of waiting and getting it done at the same time as the turbo upgrade (next year)? Basically what I really want to know is will the Z32 AFM give me any sort of additional power gain when installed with my current mods? I was also wondering is it alright just to use the PFC hand controller as a boost gauge? As I currrently only have the stocke boost gauge. Or is there an advantage in installing a conventional boost guage? Like as a back up or whatever. Sorry guys im a bit of a novice when it comes to this stuff, thanks in advance!
  3. Put me down for one along with the boost controller unit . R33 GTS-T (S2).
  4. Haha I alwayse just assumed it was PSI, dont I look like a dunce, oh well at least I know I am actually running proper boost levels (the needle usually gives a reading of just over half way). Thanks heaps for your help guys.
  5. Hey guys. I have got a couple of quick questions that I am hoping someone out there might be able to answer. I have an r33 that is basically stock, the only real mod is a 3 inch turbo back exhaust. My main question is what is the normal level that my car should be boosting to? I am fairly certain that standard boost should go up to 7psi. Yet I have never been able to get my car to boost past about 3.5-4psi (according to the standard gauge). Is this normal or could there be a problem with it? If so what are some of the likely reasons for my lack of boost? I am seriously starting to get over driving around with such little boost! Thanks in advance
  6. Got my car back from the mechanic. The problem was just my pressurs sensor, which will need to be replaced. For some reason it won't give a reading when the car is idling even though the pressure readings are normal (according to the equipment he used). Thanks again for your help guys it is much appreciated!
  7. Thanks for your help thus far guys. I changed the oil and filter thismorning, but unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem (oil was pretty crap though so still a good thing). The car is at the mechanic now so hopefully I'll have a better idea of what the problem is soon. Ill let you know the diagnosis when I get it.
  8. Oh and yes I have checked the oil level and it definately has plenty of oil1
  9. Hey guys, just got a querie that I was wondering if anyone could help me with. When I got home from work today and parked in the driveway I noticed my oil pressure was reading zero! I tapped the accelerator and this brought it back up, but as soon as it started to ilde it went back to zero again. A couple of hours later I wnt back to the car, started it and it gave a normal pressure reading. However, I went for a drive and as soon as i stopped and the car was idling I got a reading of Zero (during regular driving I still get a normal pressure reading). It seems the only time I get a positive reading during idle is when I first start the car (does not matter if the car is cold or still a bit warm from its last run). Any ideas what this may be and how best to fix it? Id really appreaciate any help some of you more knowledgable folk could give me. Cheers
